Discovered this song about a week ago, and, I never watched, 'Wander over Yonder,' maybe I should have coz this character is just lovely XD

And then it turns out there's a male cover by Caleb Hyles over a, 'Villainous,' fanvid?!

Oh my God this cover is magnificent, it takes everything awesome about the original and goes beyond (plus ultra lol)

He adds so much more character and flavour to it, is just go listen to it on repeat now

Game of Thrones S6 Ep 7 Review

So! I have a question for ya. A bunch of guys in armour, on horse back, carrying weapons, approach you. Its very obvious what they want and what they will do. What do you do? Well, clearly, fighting back isn’t an option, however, you do not raise your hands, give a smile so sweet that it’d make a unicorn puke, AND SAY “PEACE BE WITH YOU!”

This guy seemed so smart! So nice! I’m a pacifist, so don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he should have gone in, ‘crossbows blazing,’ but my freakin’ God, he may as well have offered his murderers a cup of tea as they did him in!!

I can imagine the whole time they killed him, he was probably apologising FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! 

That idiot aside, I physically cheered to see our Hound returned. I have no freakin’ idea how he came back from the beating Brienne gave him, but its sure to lead to awesome plot points in the future now that he’s back. His whole appearance and growth in this episode was lovely to see, but my God, the way he grabbed that axe at the end of the episode... chills. Shit will go down, and I can’t wait to watch it rain down on whoever is in the Hound’s path. 

As for the rest of the show, I understand how its necessary to lay down all the threads before you weave them together, I’m a writer myself, but they’ve been laying down threads for SEVEN EPISODES!! I want to see shit HAPPEN! Its been about as interesting as Danaerys’ 6 season walk in the desert! F**KIN’ DO SOMETHING GoT! YOU HAVE TWO EPISODES LEFT!!

Game of Thrones Season 6 Ep 6 Wybie Talks

Well. All in all, this episode felt fairly uneventful for me. There were a few very important plot points which I felt, but everything in between those felt like either it was filler, or something that ‘might’ make sense later. 

The reappearance of Benjin was certainly a nice plot point. Bran wasn’t going to figure anything out on his own, so he at least has another mentor/guide now. 

I did enjoy the plot point of Sam returning to his family home, how at the end of that whole thing, he suddenly grew ALL THE BALLS and left with Gilly, little Sam and the FREAKIN’ SWORD!! That thing’s gonna get some use in future episodes! :) 

And then we come to the final scene of the episode, Danaerys, once again, wandering the desert. FOR GODS SAKE GIRL, GO SOMEWHERE! DO SOMETHING!!! But it was pretty cool when she went ahead of the group and came back riding a dragon. Although I do have to wonder, this thing has been the equivalent of a fire breathing teen going through the, ‘I don’t have to listen to you MOM!’ phase. Why the hell is it listening now?! I do hope that is addressed, because the last time we saw it, it was freely eating goats and kids. Human kids.

Penny Dreadful Season 3 Ep 4

Hooooo boy! Was that a lot to take in! The characterisations between ‘The Orderly’ and Vanessa were so heartbreakingly good, I actually nearly cried on a few occasions. I don’t even know where to begin with this, so I’ll keep it to the point, and only speak about the pieces that really grabbed my attention.

The Orderly saying he doesn’t like poetry, and then some time later, reciting some for her, and then showing a time skip where he is still doing it for her. Could it be that ‘John Clare’ carried over his love for poetry from what he learnt from her? Even as the ‘monster’ with no memory of his past life, pieces of his previous identity would still carry over. With his previous connection to Vannessa in the Asylum, I can’t wait for her to meet him again in the present. Even though he might not remember ‘her’ straight away, it will still do interesting things to the way they interact. 

Also, the ‘Dracula, the Devil and looney walk into an Asylum’ piece, where she freaks them both out by floating and speaking that odd language. I get that that was meant to be a big, dark moment, but the whole time, I was just thinking, “What does it say about you lady, that Satan and Dracula are scared of you?” XD

On a final note. The entire time, every time Vanessa asked the Orderly his name, he refused to answer. But I believe I already know it. In the original book, ‘Frankenstein,’ by Mary Shelley, the ‘Creature’ did in fact have a human name of a sort. Adam.

To think, I said I would keep this ‘short’.

Game of Thrones S6 Ep5

I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!! 

I’d heard on the internet that today’s episode was going to be particularly heartbreaking, so naturally, I watched expecting that.

Arya’s storyline this week was certainly an... interesting one. My God, that girl that trains her can throw a punch! So fast! Like DAMN! Then there was the whole ‘visiting the play’ sequence, and although I understood that it was meant to be sad, I certainly got that at moments, on the other hand, some sections had me laughing my arse off. I’m so sorry King Robert!! XD

I loved it when Sansa gifted the cloak to Jon. The way he smiled as she left was so dang sweet! And I love the play of ‘Bastard’ vs ‘Bastard.’ If Jon becomes the new Lord of Winterfell somehow, I will be a very happy person. 

I do wonder what Theon and his sister are up to though. Clearly, running from their insane Uncle is the first steps to whatever they’re doing, but then what? Do they plan to get in with Danaerys before their Uncle? Offer her ships in return for... taking back the Iron Isles? Seems like a good plan. 

Then we, eventually come to the final five minutes, and I’m sat there thinking, “Well, I guess the play sequence was a little bit sad, but I’d hardly call that heartbreaking.” And then Bran goes and gives ‘Past Hodor’ a seizure, and the way the scene plays out, suddenly everything made sense, and I... Oh God Hodor why?!! WHY?!!  In that short scene, I understood so much about Hodor and could finally understand why everyone was so worked up about it.

And I actually thought it was going to be about Bran’s dog at first! As they ran into the oncoming corpses, I thought, “No!! Anyone but the dog! Take the girl! Take Bran! Just leave Rover be!!” And then shit got worse and yet at the same time, so much better.

I’m so freakin’ exciTED FOR NEXT WEEEEEEK!!!

Game of Throne S6 Ep4 Wybie Talks

Oh, Grand High Sparrow, you giant SHIT!! The way that little git is going, the things he’s done, the state he left poor Loras in, I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL THAT LITTLE B**CH GETS IT!! 

We haven’t seen Loras for so long, and to finally catch up with him after so long and see him in such a state, it make my heart break for him! You go, Margaery, you build him back up, at least long enough for him to last until they’re broken outta there! 

And Theon! Well, I really thought when he got back home to his sister, the way she spoke to him, I thought shit might have been about to go down, but, if I understood correctly, the way she accepted him back after all of that. That was sweet. I think all that bad attitude might just have been the way she is. i picked up that behind all of that mouth, she really was glad to have him back.

Jon Snow...  that was really sweet, his reunion with Sansa, that was adorable. But even more adorable, I found, was the looks that Brienne kept recieving from our lovely, ginger bearded Wildling. I... I ship it. I SHIP IT! I still ship Jaime/Brienne, but now I’m kinda behind Brienne/Tormund. Do they have a ship name??

I don’t think they DO have a ship name yet. Therefore I put forth, Giantsbane, after his surname. Because its his name, and she has often been spoken about regarding her size. 

All aboard the great ship GIANTSBANE!!

Game of Thrones S6 Ep 3 Review - Wybie Talks

Well that was interesting! Got a good laugh when Cersei tried to get in on that meeting! Dats what you GET for being a ‘royal pain’! 

Concerning Arya, I knew a good episode ago that she would get her sight back when she gave up her previous identity, as the loss of sight was connected to Arya, not ‘a girl.’ A physically cheered when she came through good on the other side of her training. Now... SHIT’S GONNA GET REAL!! XD

Now, Jon Snow, ohhhhh my God. He’s leaving... the Wall. And I knew he would!! The vow keeping him there only lasts until ‘the hour of their death.’ Wel’p, he died. Walking off from the Wall like a BOSS! 

OH! And Bran’s visit to the past! We gonna get some info on Ned’s sister and baby Jon, and I’m so excited!!! 

I can barely contain myself!!!

Penny Dreadful S3 Ep1 Wybie Talks

Soooo! I was a little late starting this season, but I managed to catch a repeat! Thankfully before episode 2 starts, so I’m all caught up.

As far as being a first episode, this was great! Covered all the main characters, showing us what they have been up to since last time, and introduced several new plot points, all of which being good storytelling, so well done PD writing crew, whoever you are. 

I like all of the main protagonists very much, but I must say, my favourite character, ‘Caliban’ or ‘John Clare’ as he goes by both names, his scene... I loved it. It was so heart breaking when gained glimpses of his past self, but I have to wonder, how did Victor get a hold of him? Did he know Victor before he died? Did he volunteer for the procedure? Or did Victor go all Burke and Hare, looking for people to experiment on. Hopefully this will be covered.

As for Ethan... I can’t be the only one to think those people that got him off of the train were his ‘pack.’ Not to mention they were all crack shots, just like Ethan. For the time being, that’s the theory I’m going with.

Now, to prevent this from going on for too long.

The ending. I should have clicked on that that guy was Renfield earlier. Looking back on the episode, he certainly looked like a Renfield, but when he was kidnapped by vampires at the end, and their master began speaking to him, it was then that I truly clicked on, a minute or two before he actually spoke his name. Speaking of names.

I wish Dracula hadn’t flat out introduced himself as Dracula. Felt a little bit ‘hammy’ to me. I wish he’d used his real name. Or even introduced himself as ‘the Impaler.’ It would have felt more dramatic but less hammy to me. But regardless, I was thrilled with the inclusion of this famous vampire in the story, and can’t wait for episode two, and since I had to catch a repeat of episode one, I only have a couple more days left to wait.
