Ok. So I was looking into the history of Freeman, VA because apparently a huge amount of my maternal grandmotherâs side is from there. There is so little about this place itâs insane. The internet has dang near been scrubbed. My mom looked into this town in the late 90s. She called some city records office and told the person on the phone our family are the Wyche and Lee. The lady my momâs talking to gets excited and tells her our ancestors pretty much founded the town. She tells my mom to get there quick bc they are trying to incorporate it and wipe the history from the city and we probably got land and lots of family still there. Ask me if my mom went. Nope. It was probably a canât get off work reason or canât afford to travel atm reason or both. Itâs still a little heartbreaking tho. Besides a Wikipedia article stating it still exist and is still unincorporated and one home listing, there is absolutely nothing about this place. Also found out nearby is a town called Wyche. My head is spinning. You know when you canât find little to anything on a town that still exist, it was founded by niggas. Also the county that these towns exist in, Brunswick county is 53% African American today, the majority of the city.

Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Sam Wyche died Thursday after a brief battle with melanoma. He was 74 years old.
Wyche died in Pickens, S.C., according to the Bengals. He had endured recurring battles with melanoma and urged Cincinnati fans in September to âwear sunscreen.â
