the small neon-sign lit up on the walls, hidden underground at the dark evening of downtown street, and both of her hands full with a plastic bag filled with supermarket snacks and one filled with two cans of peach soda. unusual for her to be seen around the particular area, but this person is someone she’d be thankful for.
the night when she cried because panic and anxiety surrounded her, this person suddenly appeared in front of her. their first interaction almost in the midnight, right in front of a supermarket.
he seems cold at first, with his poker expression and sharp jawline and strong gaze, made riino scared of him at first— but then when he helped her to open up the locked academy dorm gate doors, she was beyond grateful with such gesture from a such warm-hearted person, who barely knew her firsthand. they way he talked her anxious feelings over, calming her that everything will be fine, she learned that there will be solutions over such a hard times.
he taught her to be brave.
even though being reckless is still one of his traits yet his compassionate over kindness (in such a creative way) won her over within those few minutes of pick-locking and making sure she went back safely.
this is probably the only way she can thought of repaying his kindness; finding out where his tattoo parlour by eavesdropping the boys in her class, planning onto having tattoos on this particular parlour where In-Su resides after graduation.
she took a quick peek from the small windows, the sight of tattoo drawings pasted onto the walls, framed beautifully greeted riino’s eyes; truly In-Su has golden hands regarding on his works. maybe someday, when she’s of age, she’ll go to In-Su and get herself a tattoo that represents her the most.
His hard work, his creative mind, his careful hands craving inks and pigments into the skin that made into his canvas of work, his proud and satisfied smile whenever a client complimented his outstanding details. it made riino smiled as well, seeing someone influencing her life in such way that riino is grateful to being around him.
she hung the plastic bag onto the doorknob, and rang the bell, leaving a small care-package for In-Su with a note;
“Thank you for making sure that i’m okay, enjoy the peach soda!
