dad wymack
Thinking about Wymack learning Kayleigh lied about him being Kevin’s dad so he wouldn’t abandon his dreams to raise a kid and the absolute anguish he must have felt of having that choice made for him because “I could have made it work” and “I could have saved him from what Tetsuji and Riko did to him”
cosplay as an exy goalpost, it’s the only way they’d ever hit on you
jean: *panicking on the phone to wymack*
neil: *gently taking the phone* "i got him, coach"
coach: why the fuck is neil in california?
hello i am here to say that if you have not read the EC about wymack recruiting dan you SHOULD, for multiple reasons but especially because this passage kills me and i want to talk about it with people
I want a book from Wymack point of view, after the events of aftg.
I want need his inner monologue when he looks at Kevin. His son. It shouldn't make such a difference to "his" other kids, just another young soul broken and lost on the way. But it does. This time, he could have made a difference. And he's mad at Kayleigh for this. Not that he gives himself the illusion that he would have been the worlds best dad. Not that being a dad would have been on his list. But he could have managed. Somehow. Kevin didn't have to be one of his broken foxes if Kayleigh told him the truth. His eyes could look different. Because, despite the fact that Kevin looks nearly exactly like his mother, there is missing the happiness, the spark of life in his eyes. They remind Wymack of himself. And he hates it. He hates it how Kevin grabs after the bottles, also this reminds him of where he came from. And this time it didn't have to be this way. If he just KNEW, he could have, maybe, changed a life before a second chance was necessary.
I love that scene in tkm where Wymack tells Neil he's going to make him vice captain the next year and Neil tries to politely decline (on the grounds that he'll be dead by then) and Wymack is literally like too bad bitch. This isn't a democracy and i say you're the next captain so figure it out
Wymack: you did what?
Neil: called Riko a daddy issues freak in front of his teammates
Wymack: why??
Neil: for the love of the game?
Wymack: what does this have to do with your love of Exy?
Neil, a professional hater and instigator: right… exy… that game
Andrew: I’ve never been more attracted to you than now
