imagine how different Yugioh would be if Yugi was unhinged as shit like
Yami: "I don't know what Rafael is planning, but I mustn't use the Seal of Orichalcos, it's -"
Yugi: "Use it."
Yami: "Aibou what -"
Yugi: "Use. It. Now, other me. Destroy him."

First Aid my beloved little freak you deserve more love
Imagine how fucking loud Lost Light must be. People are trying to sleep and all you hear is Treat Me Like a Slut blasting at full volume at Swerve's. There's like fifteen people out in the halls drunk off their asses shooting at each other with lasers and screaming (Whirl and Rodimus started it.) Magnus walks out of his hab to deal with the noise and they all scatter like roaches
This has probably already been said but I wanted to write my two cents on the matter.
While I'm fine with the depiction of Atem being a smooth-talker and a flirt there's something about him being awkward/shy about romance that I enjoy more. Canon already implies Atem is romantically clueless but I like to take it a step further.
This guy is so confident and level-headed but when it comes to being romantic, he's shy. The idea of Atem, who is very confident in most situations, being romantically shy makes him endearing imo. Like you hold this man's hand and he's gonna think about it for weeks.
Firm believer that he uses more "old fashioned" ways to refer to his s/o as. I mean come on dude is from the ancient world. So no calling his s/o "babe" in this house. Shudders. No, he definitely calls his s/o "my love" and "my dear" and "darling/my darling."
And because my guy is touched-starved this dude's a cuddler. Doesn't matter who the big spoon/little spoon is as long as he's engaged in physical contact with his lover. In a moment of boldness he might even pull them down on his lap just to have them close. Cuddling on the couch while watching movies. Falling asleep while his head is on his s/o's lap as they card their fingers through his hair.
But yeah I believe in romantically shy Atem supremacy.
Trigun fandom's interpretation/writing of Wolfwood and treating it like gospel truth as this buff hairy stoic stone wall of a man has unironically made me hate his character and from now on I'm always going to portray him as this dramatic goth twink in my art/writing like he is in StampGaze.
It's pretty much impossible for Yugi to forget Atem's face since they look practically identical but what if other memories of Atem begins to fade as he ages?
The first thing that fades is their soul and mind link; Yugi forgets the way Atem's soul feels in his and their linked minds. He starts forgetting his hand gestures as he speaks, his body language and his mannerisms. The shade of his red eyes, even the confidence and intellect glinting in them. He forgets the way he smiles and grins and smirks. Maybe he starts forgetting the sound of his voice.
Hi! I saw your Wolfwood post and firstly wanted to say I love seeing someone else noticing the uncomfortable characterization of him, but I also wanted to say I agree SO MUCH about him being east asian. I won't lie, I do enjoy latino wolfwood or I've even seen a couple native american wolfwoods, but its disappointing to see him labeled as some aggressive over dominant man regardless. the correlation is insane and I'm glad to see someone else hate it so much, and I apologize for the rambling LMAO
Omg omg THANK YOUUU for sending me something in my inbox! I love interacting and responding to people, and discussing certain topics, it's so much fun! (This also means I love hearing you ramble, so don't apologize!)
I'm happy to hear that you agree with me! Honestly I thought I was alone in my opinion that Wolfwood is East Asian, lol. And I do agree, while I enjoy Latino Wolfwood the fandom's consistent perpetuation of this harmful stereotype of him as this overly aggressive bulky man has ruined some of the enjoyment. It's very disappointing.
Native American representation sounds so damn cool, omggg. I haven't actually seen it but it's super awesome knowing it's out there!
Been headcanoning Fyodor as a mama's boy for the past day now. For some reason. I have no proof just divine intuition.
