like siryn is such a fascinating character, as someone who's read MOST of her comics and know her backstory chronologically. never have i seen someone spiral this intensely downwards into villainy and self destruction because of a gay female friendship. graymalkin, morrigan, the many mutant deaths, x-factor, that curse plot with ricstar... all of this began because siryn wanted to remove polaris' intense pain and grief. and if that still somehow reads as bestie behaviour to you, remember that siryn is a devoutly catholic woman and yet she wasted no time or hesitated to become the host of the morrigan deity just for lorna 😭😭😭 everything about siryn's life since lorna learning about how her parents died literally has revolves around this axis of "i was in love with my co-worker and best friend who also had a lame blond boyfriend at the time" and i'm just crying cause like damn. siryn's life always sucked but her current arc really is just "damn this crush i have on polaris is giving me brain damage lowkey" AND THESE TWO ONLY HAVE TWO COMICS WHERE THEY INTERACT ON PANEL
