another X-thread comic I got finished recently, this time featuring my BF Dies Volt as the main subject.

(also for those wondering, the note on page 13 about X-fight is for an upcoming X-thread comic I am also working on, just fyi)

A curious tilt at the other’s emphatic signs, as though she were not certain she had interpreted them correctly. Perhaps she wasn’t ;   this did not seem like Chell, was something GLaDOS could not so simply break down into easily understood pieces.

        It’s   hard   to   communicate   with   someone   who   mumbles   every   word   that   he   speaks.   He   makes   noises,   grunting.   Yes   or   no   answers   and   she   can’t   read   his   lips   because   he   barely   moves   them   to   make   a   sound.   Her   handwriting   is   readable   considering   how   fast   she   writes   to   have   some   kind   of   conversation   with   him.

    the demon’s fist is not a particularly affectionate collection of children. understandably so, certainly, but it makes times like these difficult for mara, likely for most of them. there are things that should be said because even though they aren’t at the heart of this, the effects are felt everywhere. people are frightened at the possibility that their city is next. families are faced with the reality that loved ones in metropolis are gone. superman is  -- well. mara won’t speak on something like that, can’t speak on it. 

   her team is...a family. will they ever admit to it ?? could they ever really interact in the same ways most families do ?? it’s not likely. but it’s still significant and it still brings forth something from mara when she returns to their base and sees nightstorm, alive and well, even though she already knew that he was, even though they’d have no reason to be involved in a city like metropolis. she stops just a few feet from the threshold of the door, somber and unnerved as she considers him. 

   “ i saw damian. it seems the bats are all accounted for. ” she doesn’t know why she chooses to start on that; it’s easier, maybe, factual. but her next words feel like lead in her mouth, “ are you -- doing alright ?? where are the others ?? ” it’s uncomfortable, even in it’s simplicity, but she’s their leader and she’s doing what she can, what she thinks she should.

and one my most recent coms, someone wanted a full on comic sequence of them becoming an X-thread. twas a fun monster to design, and a fun comic to make.

          Connie   nods,   looking   straight   into   her   sister’s   eyes.   The   worry   that   mixes   in   with   the   dark   features   of   Kelly’s   eyes,   the   terror   of   the   thought   that   Connie   wouldn’t   make   it   back   without   a   bite   deep   into   her   own   dark   skin.   And   yet,   she   still   faces   death   in   the   face   and   wins   without   much   of   a   scratch.

Can I make an X-Thread oc or is it a thing only you can make? I adore the concept and I’d love to take a crack at making one

I've had a few people ask this, and I really should make a guideline for how to make your own X-thread. but that would require nailing down spesifics, which i am bad at XP
