rewatching felix's doki doki literature club playthrough is a trip
This show is so pretty :) <3
A lot of people didn't notice the part where Toby said he was looking at other avenues for translations after being unhappy with his first attempts
open to: m/nb plot: exes. the epic kind.
she is meant to be over this, over him. liberated from the weight of their false start. it has been a year, and she is still heart broken, still caught up in it every time she sings. because every song is about him, every line is about him. her audience is larger now, an auditorium of thousands. she has a band now too, an orchestra. she's playing the royal fucking albert hall.
and yet.
she stands underneath a spotlight ,veiled in white, her voice as clear as her heartbreak.
"--And I've been waiting for the sunset Waiting on a sorry (let me go) But you're never sorry, are you? (I'll let you go) No, you don't even care (if you let me go) How can you stand and watch while I'm--"
a tear falls, as her voice soars. and it's then she sees him, sat in the crowd like he belonged, as if the song wasn't about him, as if she wasn't bleeding all over the stage--for him.
"breakin' all my bones, tryin' to hold you close cut my heart right out my body tearing off my skin, just to let you in isn't it a bit unethical? got me on my knees, have you any mercy? every time you hurt me, baby tell me, have I not given you enough? if you ever loved me, let me go--"
the choir stops singing, the strings still and the audience explodes. it's deafening. it's startling. she glances at her manager, and they're crying too.
she's done it.
and when she looks back into the audience, he's gone. a figment of her imagination, maybe? her own personal ghost?
the dressing room is quiet by the time she finally makes it back. she's still shaking from the adrenaline, still in shock--
the sight of him, on the couch, a bouquet in his hands does nothing to calm her.
"what the fuck?"
friend is selling me his car for 3,000 oh my goddd lifes looking up
