So this was what a Warlord was like... There were only seven of them and the seas were wide and the Navy far-reaching; Lyra had never actually come face to face with one. Or at least, she supposed this fishman counted as a Warlord. He had been summoned to Marineford to accept or reject the offer, so he wasn’t confirmed yet. She guessed that if he was here, that meant he was accepting it. Otherwise, a pirate would just keep sailing and ignore the Navy.
She wondered why he was accepting... After all, wasn’t the one thing pirates value above all else freedom? He would be somewhat under the Navy’s control if he accepted; or at least, the Navy would try telling him what to do and where to be. And furthermore, Lyra didn’t think that there had ever been a fishman Warlord before. If she was remembering correctly, the relationship between fishmen and humans wasn’t... ah... the best. So why would he want to work further with humans? His crew was all fishmen, as far as she knew.
These thoughts crossed her mind as she stood in the room for him, guarding the door and providing supervision to his presence in Marineford while waiting for Fleet Admiral Sengoku to call him in. She believed he must be somewhat reasonable if Marineford had invited him straight in to the HQ. Hopefully he wouldn’t give her any trouble... She had heard rumors of Marines having issues with the likes of other Warlords, notable the Pirate Empress, Moriah, and Doflamingo... That’s probably why they had put her, a Captain at this point in time, in here with him. Junior Marines were too easy to push around. She stood by the large oak doors with her hands neatly folded behind her back, still and disciplined while she watched his every move.
