Gotham Fans Stop Scrolling For a Second!
I have recently seen many questioning the scene between Sofia and Oswald where Sofia massages his ankle. Let me enlighten my knowledge in hopes to stop the arguing.
I am in the medical field and it makes sense that his ankle would hurt as well as the muscles. Most likely his femur, patella, maybe even his tibia and fibula took the blows. Yes, I doubt his tarsals and metatarsals got hit, but the muscle is a whole other thing.
Gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior are two that would be strained due to his walk. Skeletal muscles are rapidly contracting all the time. Not to mention the fact he seems to drag.
What is a skeletal muscle? Good question! Skeletal muscles are the ones that attach to two different bones and overlap a joint. That is the key point here!
Oswald has hypokinesia in his whole leg. In lamin terms, it means he has insufficient movement. YET! YET! I will admit in Gotham it seems the writers need someone on the medical field to guide them through the things Oswald would be going through. Now as for Robin Lord Taylor, he has that walk to an ace and I am astonished on his acting skills. He is doing great.
So, in conclusion, Oswald would have myalgia (lamin terms this is muscle pain) in his whole limb. I find it interesting though on how the writers seem to conflict on his myasthenia (muscle tone) aka how strong this leg is.
Specifically, I hope @fowllplay sees this. They are an amazing roleplayer of Oswald and I suggest checking them out.
