Preference: Nohr Siblings if Their Youngest Sibling Died Protecting Them
Request: how would the nohr siblings react if their youngest sibling (the reader) died protecting them? (i was thinking seperate hcs for each sibling but a oneshot with all of them is cool too) Requested by @bagelprincee Word Count: 562 A.N.- So sorry I’ve been pretty inactive for the past month, I was adjusting to starting college classes again, but now that I’ve had a few weeks to settle back in I think I should be able to start posting regularly again, of course studies permitting.
Xander: As Xander watched you fall, a scream of despair and rage ripped from his throat. His vision went red as he cut down every enemy in his path. Xander watched you take an arrow for him, and nothing was going to stop him from getting to you. He dropped to his knees, pulling your lifeless body to his chest. He screamed for somebody, anybody to help him. Xander didn't leave your side for the rest of the battle. After the fighting was over, he carried your body back to camp. There were no tears. All Xander could do was replay the scene in his head. If he had been more alert, he could have seen the archer first, and you would still be alive. The guilt would consume him. You were the one person that all the rest of his siblings swore to protect, and he failed. He was meant to protect you, but you died protecting him. Xander would never stop blaming himself.
Camilla: Camilla hadn't even seen it coming. She was cutting through enemy after enemy. It wasn't until she heard a choked cry behind her that she turned around. She saw your body crumple to the ground, a fatal wound meant for her—a scream of agony carried through the air. Camilla carried your body off of the battlefield immediately. She took you to the first healer she could find even though she knew deep down that it was too late. Camilla cried as she held you, her precious youngest sibling. She wouldn't' even let go of you when her other siblings came. She would do anything to go back and keep you safe. It was her job to be your big sister and keep you safe, and her mistake cost you your life. She would regret that day forever.
Leo: Leo had just finished off another soldier and turned to fight the next person when he heard the sound of metal cutting through flesh. His head whipped around, no sound came out; he just watched in horror as your body fell to the ground. All at once, his body started to move on its own. He fired a blast of magic into the soldier who killed you. Leo was furious, killing everyone who came near him. When the battle ended, he carried your body back to camp. He couldn't look at the rest of his siblings. Leo would hardly leave his room after that day. He would just sit in the dark, blaming himself. His confidence would be shattered, knowing that you died because he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. The events of that day would haunt him for the rest of his life.
Elise: Elise was healing a wounded soldier when she was shoved to the side. She watched as the arrow meant for her pierced your body. Elise froze before letting out a horrified scream. She scrambled to start healing you, but the arrow had hit a vital point, and you were already gone. It didn't stop Elise from trying; she didn't stop trying to resuscitate you until Camilla pulled her away. Elise blamed herself for the whole thing. She should have been paying attention. She stopped being the happy, bubbly girl she always was and became quiet and secluded. Not a day went by that Elise didn't think of you. She would never recover.
