        Frankly, this subject is one that really gets on my boobs. Considering that I’ve had this happen to not only my friends on here but myself included. I don’t stand for it, because it not only diminishes my OC’s existence, I take it as “I only care about canon blogs.” The writing is still going to be the remotely same, just different character. 

        If I see this being done to me or my friends, you are automatically irrelevant to me and I have no interest in interacting with you. I don’t need that kind of egoism in my life. I already deal enough with in real life, so I don’t need that on here.

        During the past year that I’ve been active on this website, my main focus was on development and establishment of an OC in the OP fandom. She’s a character that I have spent the most time on therefore she’s my baby. I’m proud of her, in terms of concept, design, and personality. So whenever I saw an interest in her, I was a little bit more proud because it was own creation. 

        However, in terms of interactions and followers? Barely anything for the first few months, expect for a few people who were nothing but kind to me. I began to think that it was something that was due to my own ooc interactions, but that all just speculation so I kept quite. However, when I made my first canon blog, I was shocked to see the different type of treatment. 

        Makino’s blog was the first canon blog I made and within the first two days, I already had garnered 200 followers. I was shocked. Yes, I understand that there weren’t any active Makino blogs at the time, however, I didn’t even have her characterization down nor do I feel as confident with her as I do with my OC. Now, I also realize that there is the difference between canon and oc. Canon is much easier to follow because it’s canon. One has already seen the show so they automatically follow. 

         To be honest, I don’t mind if people don’t follow me on my OC and just on my canon blogs. People more than welcome to! In fact, I encourage people to do whatever makes them feel comfortable. However, when I see how dismissive they can be to my OC without even batting at eyelash, of course, I’m going to be a little miffed. 

        It’s already disheartening to see how easily people can follow a canon muse over an oc, but the worse is when people ignore your OC flat out. I do not nor will I ever stand for that. I don’t remotely care for followers anymore because I’d rather interact with people that I feel comfortable with. I follow people mainly for their writing. Others can argue that “It’s my blog, so I can do whatever,” but to that I say,                 Just as much as you have the right not to interact with me on my oc,                                I can reserve that right not to interact with you.
