Dead Rising 3 captures the Imagination for the Next generation

Playstation 4 is shaping up to take the top throne for the upcoming console generation with custom Playstation 4 features and a slew of enigmatic titles- both original and franchise features.

Where Hollywood is in full sequelitis and the major gaming developers are playing it safe with franchise iterations that seem to beat a dead horse, Sony and in-house developers are prepping some new original series. Though Dead Rising 3 is not that new original title, it takes the franchise in such a momentous new direction, it certainly deserves to be. The original Dead Rising was a unique concept that was not fully realized. The game was short and arguably repetitive with a limited arsenal of weaponry. Dead Rising 3 destroys the previous entries with true open world expansion and a zombie plague that rivals the best The Walking Dead has to offer. For better or worse, it is an Xbox One exclusive.

Dead Rising 3 also allows you to customize your ride, a mini-feature that is particularly appealing in changing the franchise for the better. The Kinect allows users to shout at zombies to distract them, as well as loud noises which could bring about an onslaught of zombies.

Speculation and confirmed facts on the upcoming console generation is in full swing, and digressors on both sides of the core battle have their reasons. The battle between Microsoft and Sony is churning some downright astonishing changes. Microsoft’s immediate alterations to their Xbox One platform were staggering for fans who found their changes appropriate but a little too late. Sony is in ‘God mode’ with their outpouring of high profile updates and game-changing methods. Ultimately, can Microsoft find quality footing moving forward, or are they destined for a second place rank? The modded PS4 speculations are already setting a precendent for mods. The Playstation 4 controller is elegantly designed and perfected for legitimate gamers looking to step outside the Kinect fad and other more gimmicky additions to this latest console battle.

Can the Wii U compete with the Xbox One this holiday season?

As we approach the launch of the xbox1 this November, one of the questions that keeps coming up is whether or not the Wii U will actually provide the xboxone with any sort of competition. When Nintendo launched the Wii U, they seemed to believe that it would be able to compete with xboxone's superior graphics through the creation of better games - and match the availability of customXboxOneControllers and moddedXboxOnecontrollers through a variety of control styles.

The truth, however, is that Nintendo has still failed to produce any games to challenge the xbox1. Investors are promised that they will be competitive when the xboxone comes out, but the fact is that there is no way that even with several more games that Nintendo can play catch up in time for the xbox1 release.

Why is this sort of competition with the xbox1 impossible? For starters, the WiiU sales numbers continue to be extremely disappointing, coming nowhere near it's precursor, much less the xboxone. In addition, things like the Xbox1Controller show the inherent inferiority of the WiiU. Whereas the Xbox1controller uses the same setup they have been using since the original xbox, as well as allowing for the easy creation of customXboxOnecontrollers and moddedXboxOnecontrollers the WiiU has decided to put buttons below the right stick, leading to terrible ergonomics, and difficult to master controls unlike the Xbox1Controller.

In addition, the modding community is just not there for the WiiU. On both previous xboxes, there have been all sorts of mods available, and the xbox1 is not likely to be different. The best players will be able to get a moddedxboxonecontroller that allows them to be better at what they do, or a customxboxonecontroller lit with cool looking LED lights, or even a custom engraving on their xbox1controller.

While it might not seem like a huge difference, customXboxOneControllers and Moddedxboxonecontrollers will more than likely be one of the best selling peripherals, eve more than a standard xbox1controller if the old Xbox 360 patterns hold for the xboxone. Can the WiiU controllers challenge customXboxOneControllers and ModdedXboxoneControllers? Nintendo will surely continue to struggle.

Xbox One Games!

The new Xbox is generating a lot of buzz on the web since Microsoft officially announced its next-gen entertainment system, the Xbox One. Microsoft has promised several exclusive titles including old favorites such as Halo. Among these exclusive titles Microsoft is pumping, Ryse: Sons of Rome, takes full advantage of the Xbox One's capabilities, including voice command and mobile management of your character (with a compatible mobile device). Ryse features a soldier who joins the army and eventually saves the Roman Empire.

If a more modern soldier is what you're looking for, Titanfall, Call of Duty: Ghost, and Wolfenstien (set in the 1960's) will all be available on the Xbox One. The Xbox One has a lighter side for those who may need a break from endless, gruesome killing available gamers will be able to build and destroy with Minecraft, fight the heartless in Kingdom Hearts 3, and create their own game with Project Spark. Project Spark is a sandbox-type game which blends a fantastical, storybook environment with classic scifi elements, such as mechs. In Project Spark the player can build their world and, when the goblins start attacking, change the environment or characters in real-time. Some other popular titles coming out on the One will include Dead Rising 3, Final Fantasy XV, Forza Motorsport, Need for Speed, FIFA, and Madden. The One will also have blue-ray capabilities and family friendly titles, such as Plants vs. Zombies and Zoo tycoon for those who have children to consider or want a complete entertainment system. While there are a great number of titles to be released on the Xbox One something to keep in mind before locking in your Pre-order is that this console will be open to DRM restrictions, which could make reselling or trading in games difficult. Also, rumor is the One will must be connected to the Internet at least once every twenty-four hours for you to play it, making an Internet connection required. Lastly, the new Xbox controller is much like the 360 with the only major differences being a trigger rumble feature and a slimmer battery. The new Xbox will hit stores in November and is available for Pre-order now.
