Hi could you maybe write a fic for me where Jeremy and Matt are dating before they're hired at AH and the other workers slowly find out (either they're seen kissing or holding hands or just stare at each other for too long). I'd love you if you did
Pairing: JereMatt
Notes: I hope you enjoy this! I'm not very familiar with the pairing and i know it took me forever to write this for you which I am really super sorry about! So yeah, here is some jerematt with literally none of the main AH guys bc who wants those lames when we could have the lovely lets build team + caleb?
I.
Lindsay yawned as she approached the Achievement Hunter office. She’d spent all day recording lines for RWBY’s next volume and hours of Ruby Rose enthusiasm had drained all of her energy. She was more then ready to go home and curl under the blankets with Michael.
All that was left to do was retrieve her keys and sweatshirt from the office before driving back to their place.
She pushed the door open. She stopped as her eyes adjusted to the light. The rest of the building was dim and dark, most of people having gone home already.
Laughter filled her ears.
"Fuck, are you kidding me?!"
Her eyes drifted over to the source of the sound.
Jeremy and Matt were sitting at Geoff and Ryan’s desks. Matt was glaring at Jeremy as something on his screen was licked up by orange flames. Jeremy was bent in half, his whole body shaking with laughter.
"It’s not funny dude," Matt said. "We’re gonna be here all night at this rate."
"It’s so funny!" Jeremy protested. "I told you this would happen! I told you to build it out of stained clay! But you were all, ‘noooo! It’ll ruin the aesthetic!’"
"I have never in my life used the word aesthetic."
The words were puncuated with a roll of Matt’s eyes.
But the longer Lindsay stood there, watching them, the more she got the feeling she was intruding on something personal.
Feeling awkward, she cleared her throat. “Hey guys.”
"Hey Linds," Jeremy greeted. "Come see what Matt did to his own fucking wool build."
"Shut up."
"No thanks," she declined. "I’m ready to go home. I’m just grabbing my stuff."
"Okay. Night!"
"Night."
"Come on, doofus," Matt declared, punching Jeremy in the arm. "Help me rebuild it."
"In clay this time?"
"Yes. In fucking clay this time."
Glancing behind her again, Lindsay found Matt was staring at Jeremy again. The affection in his eyes reminder her of the way Michael looked when she did something ridiculous.
"Oh…" she murmured to herself. "I didn’t realize it was like that."
II.
Kdin whistled as he strolled into the Achievement Hunter office. There was something extremely satisfying to him about being the first one to the office.
He flipped on the lights as he made his way towards the back room.
When he was half way across the room, there was a loud snore behind him and his heart leapt into his throat. He slammed his teeth on his lip to avoid screaming.
He took a deep breath, reminding himself that there were several people who had crashed on the couch before.
Especially in times like these, when RWBY was smack in the middle of crunch. It was probably just Kerry.
"Ker, you should-" Kdin trailed off when he turned around. Instead of it being Kerry passed out on the couch, it was Matt and Jeremy.
A blush spread from Kdin’s neck to the his ears.
It wasn’t strange for Matt and Jeremy to sleep in the office. Kdin had even joined them a few times - too wrapped up in a build to leave in the middle and too tired to drive by the time they finished.
This was the first time Kdin had been here to see them like this though. They were curled together on the small couch, Jeremy’s face buried in Matt’s neck and Matt’s hand resting on Jeremy’s side.
"Alrighty…" He muttered, turning around and walking towards the other office again. "I’ll just leave you guys to it."
He pulled his phone out, shot a quick group message to the others about being quiet when they came in, and tried not to wonder why his two best friends didn’t tell him they were together.
III.
Caleb swung his keys around his finger as he walked out to his car. He was planning on staying at the office late that day. Jordan and he had planned a recording session for Game Kids and before that he had to finish some other work up.
"You're wet and I don't have another shirt."
He hadn't noticed anyone else in the parking lot. Hearing the voice though, he let his eyes slid over towards the sound.
Jeremy and Matt were standing by Matt's car. Jeremy was perched on the trunk. Matt was leaning into him, his arms wrapped around Jeremy's waist and his head against his chest. There was a large wet spot gathering on the center of Jeremy's shirt were Matt's hair was touching.
"I'm sorry I like showering," Matt answered. "We can go back to your apartment for another shirt."
Jeremy snorted, questioning, "Why? So you can pass out on the couch while I'm changing?"
"Yes." Matt twisted his head against Jeremy. "I'm still so tired."
"Yeah well, I'm running on fumes too. We only slept for four hours."
"Let's just go home and sleep all day."
"We already told Geoff we were coming in." Jeremy ran his fingers through Matt's hair. "Plus, we're already here. It'd just be a waste of gas."
As Matt muttered something about it being worth it, Caleb decided to walk a little faster towards his car. There wasn't anything inherently private about the moment - or else it wouldn't have been happening in the parking lot - but it was unsettling to Caleb to watch his coworkers have moments like that.
Vaguely, he wondered why the two of them were having such a personal moment in the parking lot when they were keeping their relationship a secret.
As he thought back on it, though, he wondered if it wasn't that they were keeping it a secret, but rather that they just thought they were being obvious and everyone already knew.
