For Humanity AU Overview

An overview of my AU that includes all 4 Xenoblade games! This'll contain the basics of the AU, links to the fic series/the one relation chart in existence/lists of things like species!

Under the cut we go, because this will get long!

This AU is strongly set within the world of X/Mira, with characters/themes/places from the other games coming into play for the sake of keeping things interesting.

Klaus and Galea feature heavily, as well as the Trinity Processor as I'm marrying the past of 1/2/3's worlds to the past of X. I also made the original Moebius AIs, as fun parallels to the Trinity Processor!

Certain ideas from the numbered games are gone. Blades? Don't exist! Gormotti? Added into Wrothians! Giants? Ancestors of the Homs at most! Similarly, Zanza and Meyneth are just used to characterize Klaus and Galea.

Species will join humanity (mimesome version) throughout the AU, and some have set ways thanks to canon or me having a lot of thoughts. Others are still a but muddier, but I am happy to talk about what basic vague ideas I can come up with on the spot (after checking with the bf because he helps develop things when I'm unsure!)

So, species. Gotta know what species everyone is, right? That's half the fun of an AU like this! Good thing for you I am addicted to charts and lists and made one for just that--

If there's any you're curious about, I'm more than happy to explain! The species someone is OR the role of the species in this AU!

Speaking of Species, have a list of when in the story of Xenoblade X they would join up with NLA/The Mimesome humans!

Liking all Xenoblades and planning a big AU crossover means I carry the curse of being the smartest man alive and figuring out the best Blade-Driver combos no one alive would ever think of. Pics related.

So, an interesting theory that's around and that I subscribe to involved Fiona and her horns (as well as the mystery woman who may be Nimue and NPCs seen on the affinity chart).

While some XC2 blades have horns and could be the data/dna responsible for it popping up in the dna clone soup babies everywhere... A thought people have is it's a trait from an extinct race that was brought back by the cloning process in some way.

If that's the case, there's no telling what species are on the table for being slapped into the clone soldiers and their appearances...

What I'm saying is if the horns are in fact from an old species that went extinct in Alrest, who's to say we won't see another extinct species from the Bionis come back in some form?

That's right.

I'm suggesting we may see some Giant traits among Keves NPCs.

Xenoblade X's Xenoform design is underrated. As far as the series goes Machina are of course the top, best of the best species design ever, for me. But X has so much diversity in how they design and it makes the universe feel alive.

2 had some fun ideas/looks going on, too, but as they were all humans (or nopon) there wasn't really room to go as wild as X. You weren't gonna see Orpheans in Alrest, for example.

X got to go wild and just have fun. There were so many fun species designs in that game... Really hope to see more of it one day.

Character I only care about when writing them as a plot device is a niche kind of character, but they sure exist. (I am talking about ZKlaus)

So, Ino isn't a Machina but appears to be an Artificial Blade, like Poppi and Lila... But her design feels very like. "Tora talked to Vanea and they collabed with Face Unit/Machina aesthetics" to me.

Ino is Poppi and Lila's baby sister, but Vanea is her auntie, you feel me?

I still wish Ascended Form got a name all her own because I hate calling her Pneuma and also hate the nickname Coffee With Milk and also use Pythra to refer to the two separate girls and also used "the Aegis" for said girls AND malos and--

Minor spoilers for the new trailers below.

one thing i like abt these Noah and Mio trailers: the shots of the universes smashing into each other tells me 2 fans who INSISTED 1 MUST BE A POCKET UNIVERSE are wrong. Never got that take in the first place tbh. The way The Architect talks makes it clear to me it's a totally separate universe from 2's. Half of him, Meyneth, and Alvis just got thrown in there
