“So many children seem to be left here on their own.“
As usual, Nanami had managed to approach someone with the footfalls of a cat. She was thin enough to the point of barely making gravel and dried leaves crackle unless she put force into her steps. There appeared to be an awful lot of children roaming around unsupervised in this city, yet the reason continued to elude her.
Much like the young girls before him, this young boy was among the scraps, searching for something. Food? Warmth? He was the only one in the area, so she had no one else to speak to. As if to help move the interaction along, she smiled down at him.
It wasn’t what one would call a good smile.
“Are you by yourself, too? Or do you have someone to watch you?“
