“Shit!!”
That one hurt.
She was whining a little too much for this one. But hell, the cut was deep, and she definitely didn’t expect to injure herself. The entire trip back into the house was a colorful slew of vocabulary that…honestly wasn’t surprising, to realize Kagari even knew. Some of those words, Daisy didn’t even quite understand. Likely words from Kagari’s own mother tongue. It was faintly amusing to think about, if she had to be completely honest.
It took some time, but at least once the ex-admin was settled down onto the couch and the arduous process of cleaning her wound was through, Kagari finally quieted back down. If anything, she seemed to drift to sleep, for a few minutes. Maybe a little overwhelmed from the stress. And the fact that Daisy was well aware she hadn’t slept last night—something that occurs once in a while. Unfortunately.
With Daisy busy in the kitchen, she hadn’t immediately noticed Kagari’s stirring, wakeful actions. Maroon eyes fluttered open, her vision of her surroundings taking a few seconds to clear up. There was a dull ache against her side, where the injury was located. But it wasn’t ablaze with that ungodly burn anymore, at least.
Silently, her attention found Daisy’s movements at last, watching the busy woman move about in the kitchen. Preparing something from the looks of it. Food or drink. Judging from the faint smell in the air, it might have been tea.
Fixated…actually, Kagari hadn’t even noticed that bit. She was staring calmly, hues glued to the back of Daisy’s figure. She alternated curiously, between simply watching the back of her head, to watching her back—a small spot between the woman’s shoulderblades that was terribly intriguing to her right now—or even following the movements of her arms and hands. With a small, nearly inaudible sigh, Daisy’s arms extended behind her head as she gave a languid stretch.
There is a slight…spike, in heart rate, watching the relaxed movements. Kagari’s mind was wandering to places that the woman wasn’t sure she was in a state to really be thinking about at the moment. The way her pupils seem to adjust so slightly, and how her gaze simply fixates on movement of clothing and limbs. Her active imagination takes into account how such movements must look, underneath the fabric of that blouse.
Thoughts meander to light and soft skin. The subtle way petite muscles twitch and adjust underneath the skin and move the body. Idle fascination. Less so with the actions themselves, and more so the woman behind their occurrence. Tactile memory reminds Kagari somewhere in the midst of her enticing thoughts, how it’d feel to trail lithe fingers through well kept locks of long hair, or the sensation of skin even from the lightest and most accidental of touches, underneath her fingertips. Enough to set her senses on fire, at that.
Her gaze softens to a mere curious look, as she just...vaguely notices that Daisy was in fact approaching her. Occupying the space next to her, Daisy set two mugs of freshly brewed tea onto the coffee table, before adjusting herself a bit. Fingers had to grasp the bottom of Kagari’s shirt, lifting the side only enough to gently reveal the patch up wound underneath. Kagari should not have let her mind wander like that beforehand.
The ghosted brush of Daisy’s fingertips just about start a fire in her abdomen that she could do without, with the source of such an attraction this close in proximity. Even a brief and unintentional glance over Daisy’s concerned facial features is a bit too much at the moment. Fretting, soft eyes intent on a subject. Light cheeks just barely tinged with that hint of a rosy pink shade.
Her lips look soft. They were back years ago, when the two of them were simply young children who joked and teased, or passed a friendly kiss to the other with no real meaning behind it. They must still hold a certain gentle softness to them now. Kagari’s fingers just faintly twitch at the thought of brushing one across Daisy’s lips and finding out for herself. Better yet, a desire to find out the more direct manner.
That helps none for the urge to do so when Daisy lifts her head more and eyes Kagari with a mixture of confusion and concern. Even just for a moment, it takes a bit of special restraint to keep from pushing her own head forward and seeking to steal a kiss from such an alarmingly beautiful woman.
“Are you all right?”
Kagari’s own lips part for a moment, words stuck at the tip of her momentarily tied tongue. Swiftly enough, she works to regain a sense of verbal communication, before nodding.
“I’m all right. Still a bit groggy, I think. All good, otherwise.”
