It had been a miracle that she had been able to fall asleep in the first place. 

Amazing what Protostar’s Don’t Lose Your Snooze capsules could do in a pinch. Still, even if she had managed to fall into some semblance of sleep amidst the noise, that didn’t prepare her for the sudden thwump of weight, nor the arm curling over her and cradling her against a rumbly… mass. 

She actually wheezed, the expulsion of air jarring an eye open to stare dazedly at just what was going on. 

It took a moment.

… A rather long moment, because her coffee intake was severely lacking. 

The moment it registered, however, Gaius was met with a loud “NOOOOPE!” and palm on his face, trying to wrench herself free.
