SHE’D GIVEN HIM A PLAN: she’d come here with namor but slip away and leave with him. he should have known it was too good to be true, but at the time he was just so happy things with her were finally working out that he didn’t think logically. by now, the dance was almost halfway over and he’d gone a whole hour seeing that guy paw at her in the middle of the dance floor. arms crossed, he leans up against the bleacher with a sour expression, unable to hide his disappointment and jealousy.
when the song switches yet again, he decides just to go for it --the plan can be damned for all he cares. after all, the dance was basically over! pushing through the crowd he makes his way to her, reaching for her hand. ❛ i know i said i’d wait for your signal but i’m tired of waiting. not just waiting tonight, literally, but waiting for us. i don’t wanna wait anymore and i don’t wanna waste any more time i just...want you. ❜ he takes a deep breath, knowing he probably fumbled his words at least a little bit while he was knee-deep in his nerves. ❛ can i have this dance? ❜
he’s not sure what he expected, asking out the most volatile person’s date right in front of him. but he sure was surprised the minute he felt namor’s knuckles make contact with his face, the friction pulling him backwards.
yeah. he’ll feel that in the morning @xebelean
