Practice study of the boy 💜
I started this illustration yesterday with no clue who I was going to put as the focus; I just knew I wanted to actually do something with a background. Six hours later, I had the background but still no focus!
Today, I woke up and chose chaos. By which I mean I drew two additional poses for the focus, decided I was going to hold a YCH (Your Character Here) raffle over on Bluesky with it, and then banged out an Alex as an example of what the finished product might look like.
Anyway the raffle's going on til my birthday next Monday, if you're over there and interested.
Sometimes you get the urge to draw art for your OTP, and you just gotta let that urge drive you.
I've been really bad about uploading art here to Tumblr lately; I'm gonna try to do better in 2026!
This was my first year participating in Art Fight! I've wanted to for several years now but never got my character/profile page ready in time for the event itself. This year, I had absolutely nothing going on during July (minus a once a week D&D game and a couple doctor's appointments) and managed to crank out 35 attacks featuring 45 characters (plus two pets and two random children), most of which I'm pretty happy with!
Downside: I completely forgot to start posting them to Tumblr, and now starting to do all that seems way too daunting to manage, lmao.
The solution? I'd mostly been keeping up via public posts on my Patreon, so I'll link you to the art fight tag for that and hope it suffices 💦 That said, if I drew your OC this year and you'd like me to post it, let me know and I absolutely will, haha.
