There's some inherent Eurocentrism about how Westerners view xenharmony. Many Western composers try too hard to achieve some sort of "otherness" or exoticism while I grew up listening to various macrotonal scales that would (apparently!) sound horrendous to someone who's not listened to anything besides 12TET and thought it was normal up until a point where I decided to look into ethnomusicology. Also like listen to this:
The scale of the tagung (huge gongs) and kulintangan (one-player small row of gongs) would be considered inharmonic against each other and sound like they "clash" according to Western music theory, but to me (and probably to a lot of maritime Southeast Asians), it's just normal ceremonial music.
I think it's why I'm not entirely convinced about the idea of "weird" xenharmonic music. Weird is subjective, and for all you know, that 5ED2+7ED2 piece of yours might just be another daily humming tune to someone across the globe.
weird thing that pisses me off is when people insist on using a harmonic seven on a minor seventh chord, particularly if youre using 7-limit JI
like for dominant chords i get it; but personally i think a MINOR seventh (aka 2 stacked P4s or [4:3]^2 or a 16:9] is better (take it as an 8:9 but with the fundamental on top if easier)). it works better, i think its also nicer
you could also tune a fifth about the minor 3rd if you want the similar beating colour to a 5JI Maj7 chord, min3 being 6:5, and minor seven being 9:5 instead of 16:9

4:7 = -31c from 12EDO ; 969c [harmonic seventh]
16:9 = -4c from 12EDO < 3^2 in denom, 3 = +2c, denom inverts sign > ; 996c [two 4ths stacked]
9:5 = -10c from 12EDO <3^2 in num, 5 in denom, aka a monzo i think of < 0 2 -1 ], its been a while since ive used monzos> ; 990c [fifth above m3]

2 = ZÉRO!! (octave)
3 = TWO CENTS (fifth)
5 = négative fourteen… (Maj three)

11 = -49 as an A4, but +51 as a P4 [can go to either préférence i dont care, but also first one that quarter tones are GOOD for approximating, (quartertwon 4:7 approximists are EVIL)

13 = +40 (min 6)
17 = +4 (semitone,,)
19 = -2c (otonal minor3rd according to xen wiki)
23 = +28c (WIDE TRITONE)
29 = +29c (larger min3rd)
31 = +45c (quartertone mentioned, wide MAj7, very wobbly)

My new love song video, “You are so microtonal” (你是如此的微音程) This piece consists of equal temperament for the left hand and 24EDO(Equal division of the octave) for the right hand. This is surely a musical experiment but my true intention is to express subtler emotions and melancholic feelings one can have in the music of equal temperament we used to know. 24 EDO melodies in this video is an extensional version of Iceface tuning. Just like my Iceface tuned pieces, I play quarter tones mainly for passing notes. So, maybe you can call it 24 icEDO :D I hope this video can be a good example for how to play quarter tones in popular music.

新しい微分音ピアノ曲"You are so microtonal”をアップしました。 今回は左手は通常の平均律による和音と、そして右手は通常のピアノの調律に比べて2倍に細かくなった、1オクターブ24分割の24平均律の旋律を弾いています。 音楽理論の実験的試みではありますが、微分音(24平均律の場合、半音の半音ですので四分音となります)の旋律による、心の微細な動きや不安、メランコリーを、一般に親しまれた西洋の平均律の音楽の中でどのように自然に奏でられるかが、今回の大きな試みです。なお、このビデオでの24平均律の旋律は、これまでのIceface tuningを拡張させて構成したものです。四分音を主に経過音として使用していますので、24 icEDOというわけです。 こういった方法論でどんどんポピュラーミュージックのための微分音を確立できると思います。(Native Instruments Kontaktに入ってる音源ならquarter toneという24平均律のチューニングがプリセットにあるから簡単にトライできます。)ご質問などお気軽に。
