LED 照明会社 Bridgelux が展開するスマート照明スタートアップの Xenio Systems がベンチャーキャピタルファンディングで資金を調達した。金額は明らかにされていない。

サンフランシスコを拠点とする Xenio はスマート照明を利用して、映画『マイノリティ・リポート』でトム・クルーズを認識するキオスクの売店のようなものを実生活にもたらすことを図っている。IoT つまり身の回りの物をインターネットに接続しスマート化することを、スマート照明で次世代へと進化させる目論見だ。投資したのは DCM Ventures、El Dorado Ventures や VantagePoint Capital Partners などだ。
