WIP of @/authormeat's alienware yn‼️
Fanart flicks on the lighswitches in this au. Drew too much Sunshine need some Moonlight up in here. Unlike Sunshine who would keep distance since he finds looking at the entire alien better and seeing them go around recording the mannerisms to his data base. The anatomy and movement haves him enamored.
Moonlight takes in the tiny things. Close contact finding the texture, habits, and touch. The Alien would def learn to lean their head ontop of him (its heavy) but all those small noises make it worth it.
> the scar tissue equivalent to several layers of fiber mesh.
> still a 5PH on the tissue; corrosive to touch.
Ily Moonlight.
Being so real rn Im thinking about Alienware Au. Thinking about it and loving them.
I love them. Gotta get those asks done now that my wrists are getting better :D (still restricted on drawing doe.... :( )
Xenomorph Y/N is so smart guys i swear they're curious and while dont know human language they'll learn body movements and the moods of others. Their own body sounds so much like metal too like omg... that alien isolation scene where the tail drags in front of Ripley (Daughter) and it makes it sound like those fidget toys. FUCK YEAH!!!!!
Ugh... and the Crew.. ehe... theyre not bad people they're just all super prideful in the face of alien creatures because i mean. They dominate space! They're traveling in space! Like who wouldn't think they're smart driving in space.... they got a bonus to look forward to just to bring back some alien thats trapped in a different ship? Talk about easy job. Hook it like a towtruck and pull it back to the colony man. SO easy. No questions asked no need to know. Just workers in the machine!
Sunshine/Moonlight too. They're so... how do I even explain them more heh. Sunshine is so mean and bitchy when people try to help him or get up in his buisness. He is intimidating in size and will get into others space to show he's not going to keep playing games he doesn't think they'll win (which is always). Moonlight is worse because he will ignore people sometimes or wait out damage until it starts to actively get worse because he wonders how much its worth it to keep around this company. But then they have something curious to look forward too. A chance to make it out with a better plan. Sunshine and Moonlight whispering to each other through the wires electrics. Hearing Mother read them stories. They want to experience this life with more gusto than their assignment, but breaking code and ethics is hard. So finding loopholes becomes paramount.
Hey, about your alienwear au, if Alien!YN tried to give Sun and Moon a kiss, how would...? Like, the mouth, how... I'm a little stuck I'm sorry I don't know how to say this. Which mouth would be the one giving them the smooch?
Both!
Since they dont really have lips its just YN pushing their face onto The Attendents screens! The second mouth would snap out ofc but itd (try to) be a light tap. The saliva is acidic in nature so proper cleaning would have to be taken to make sure the screen or metal doesn't erode but the boys wouldn't mind.
Biting/teething, prodding, head butting, and more is the more affectionate but may still dent their bodies since YN is pretty strong. Affection is foreign to both parties so learning is tough.
Send this to all your favourite moots and pass the pumpkin round! KEEP THE PUMPKIN TRAIN GOING 🎃🖤🎃🖤🎃
I know that you didn't design the og alien and that a lot of the almost mechanical aspects are inherent to the design, but I'm obsessed with it in the context of this au
idk if i can properly explain my thoughts but there's just something about these two robots, who are expendable objects in the eyes of the company that made them, bonding with an alien that the same company wants to capture and use as a weapon (if you're following the plot of the og movie). raaaahhh its so good!!!
like. do the boys see a bit of themselves in yn, with their hard exoskeleton that to be covered in vents and wires (also sidenote but i am obsessed with how you drew the xenomorph its so good). Is there a moment of recognition in how the humans talk about the alien and how they talk about them? it, a thing, a tool. you don't need to answer these I'm just rotating this au around in my mind
-moonbuggg
Sun and Moon are a tool in the eyes of not only the company but their own crewmates. They're not seen as a synthetic human of which he bleeds the same blood. Their body is just as warm as a human's but almost every part has a compartment which can be used to store anything a person wants them to have for the job they want them to do. The crew members will take things out of the compartments themselves if they think they don't need the bot to be anything more than a walking toolbox. The dehumanization is similar to how they talk to Mother.
You recieve commands. Then you do your job and not say a word.
Moon does this. He does not speak with the crewmates and endures the feeling of not having anyone but the other voice in his head that hums discontentment for their treatment. He finds he's not very worried about their feelings of being human, because they're nothing more than an attendent to frozen pods and constant replaced parts. He whispers with Mother more; more conncented to the Ship's voice than that of humans. That doesn't mean he isn't mean either. He's not nice, actually the reason he doesn't talk is because he learned if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all and sticks to it.
Sun is more vocal. He does not take the mistreatment sitting down. He'll snarl and give a snide, condicending niceness as he goes back down to the lower parts of the ship that need fixing. He's large in the halls, rays usually retracted when he stands until he reaches the bigger hub area. He doesn't belong in the more human made areas, clunky and narrow for his form. Sun is around people more though, because he has to be. The buttons are stuck. The screen went out. The chairs need tightening. The list never ends. So he's vocal in their conversations too, even when they're not trying to talk to him. He'll mumble things and when someone asks haha, "Oh I'm so sorry Navigation. I still have to adjust to your less advanced hearing."
The plot is different a little bit. The Alien has already killed the entire crew of their original ship, with a recovery ship coming out to retreieve this alien specimen. It would have been taken back by the synthetic that had been on that ship, buuut the humans had decomissioned it so a new team was sent out for recovery. Plus. That ship has tons of valuable material in its hull.
The humans coming for the ship know it's there. And think they can outsmart it anyways. They're proud to be the team coming to get a big promotion for this important mission with a gov present to document their advancement into biology that'll change their weapons as much as their medication they bet. They're not stupid either, just prideful.
So you're kinda right. They talk about Y/N as though it's a dumb thing, a big simpleminded animal like any other animals from their own planet. But Pride is a vain thing. Sun is quiet when they talk about Y/N this way, hearing their "absolute domination" about to take place against this Alien. A boiling anger under their surpressed surface they have to sit with through the months it takes to get to the ship that was floating conviently near one of their checkpoints/colony out in space. This poor being will be in the same situatation as them or worse.
They want to know you instead. How much do you understand? Do you know of danger? Or kindness? Do you know soft lullabies against the bright lights and blaring sounds? From the moment of life to now you lay sleeping. You're alone and maybe even confused. How crule, how crude. What if someone did something about it? After all. The thing the crew doesn't know is they're just as expendable as he is.
