You don't need to confirm any of the things I'm gonna say, I don't wanna waste any of our hints after all, I'm just trying to share my logic for my decision. After all since this is a Choose Your Own Adventure where the audience has to make decisions as a group we should probably be sharing our insights/theories as much as possible if we want the best chance of survival.
After going back through the profiles I'm fairly sure that Childe is the sadistic type and Scara is the monopoly type. Childe is actually referred to as sadistic in his profile, and in Scara's flirty!reader headcanons there's a line about him owning us from the minute he saw us, which seems pretty monopoly to me.
Assuming these assumptions of their traits are correct, that leaves us with the major question, who is the safer choice here? Or rather, who is the safer choice to reject? Let's think about Childe first. Assuming he is in fact the sadistic type, is he sadistic towards darling, towards other people aside from darling, or both? I'd wager it to be towards others because in his profile and crack headcanons he never seemed to hurt darling, just be super amorous and lovey-dovey with them. But, based off the illustration in his profile/headcanons he also clearly wasn't afraid to kill someone and have senpai know he did so, whether senpai saw him kill the other person, just saw the aftermath, or he just told senpai he did so. Considering that, we shouldn't let our guard down because he could easily turn to harm us too. Now with Scara in his profile there was a line about him not being afraid to show others who you belong to and also not being afraid to remind you of who owns you. But if the punishments mentioned in the flirty!reader headcanons are anything to go by, his punishments/discipline towards senpai seem to be more of the spanking/s*xual torture type, which isn't good but it's certainly better than getting killed.
The other thing I'm wondering about is the phrasing of the consequences of rejection. You said that the insanity/envy meters "can rise up to 15 percent" but the use of can makes me think that the increase could also be lower than that depending on who we reject. If that is the case, then based on their assumed types, I'd say Childe is more likely to have a greater insanity increase than Scara. Scara may be more likely to have a greater envy increase, but I'm not as confident in that assessment. If I recall correctly the danger threshold for insanity was 25 and the danger threshold for envy was 15. Unfortunately we don't know what their envy and insanity levels are right now, so that makes things a bit more difficult. There's also the star level of both boys to take into account.
Given all of that, I'm going to vote for Scara. He seems to be less of an immediate threat and while I think Childe will probably have worse consequences for us rejecting him, I think that considering Scara's student council position he may be better able to protect us in the future. Though honestly I could be completely incorrect on that lol.
Anyway, sorry for the long message. I'm just loving this so far! You have me so invested that I spent like an hour pondering this decision. Thank you for sharing this awesome thing with us!
