It was a huge thing to ask of Will. For him to come and not only see, but talk to Hannibal after years apart. Years of healing, of moving on, and of some kind of normalcy for Will. Alana would have never asked it of him, because she no longer had a hand in the FBI’s investigations--but Jack Crawford did. So, Jack Crawford asked.
Alana felt the least she could do was to be there and supervise, but very likely offer Will some support after the interaction. “You didn’t have to do this, you know...” she offered Will some sympathetic understanding, “...no one would have blamed you if you told Jack to go to hell,” a slight smile played on her face for a moment.

Beverly wasn’t necessarily a charitable person by nature, but she did enjoy surprising her friends with activities (or her specialty nachos). But Will Graham was different. As far as she could tell, he didn’t have any friends -- none worthy of note, anyway -- and his increasing inability to differentiate cases versus reality suggested a strong, dire need to take a break. But he wouldn’t. Because he was stubborn and good-hearted, and Jack gladly took advantage of that.
So after a bit of preparation, Beverly came to Will’s door with a cooler in one hand and a grin on her face, her fist lifting to rap against the oak surface. Immediately, she heard the sound of ecstatic yips and barks.
When the door swung open, she cheekily lifted the cooler of beer. “Is this my welcoming committee?” she asked, indicating the dogs. “I know you’re probably going to fuss at me, but you’ve been tired and distant for weeks, so I figured I’d take you out for some much-needed TLC. And no, I’m not taking no for an answer. Besides, would you really turn me away after I drove out all this way, not to mention, after I bought all this beer? How will I ever finish it all by myself?” With a grin, she amended, “Okay, okay, so I’d definitely be able to finish it, but that’s beside the point. I heard today’s weather is great for some fishing.”
Now nudging the cooler into Will’s arms, Beverly prodded, “Whaddaya say, champ? Wanna go out and shoot the breeze for a bit?"
she can only smirk at such a response , and as she breaks away from will , she’ll give a soft chuckle . “ i don’t recall ever saying that . ” thinking it ? possibly . . . her and will have never quite seen things the same way , but that does not mean she has not felt some sort of desire for him . the form of her desire ? even bedelia isn’t so sure yet ; it’s why she’s just kissed him . she’d wanted to see how it would feel , and the blonde herself isn’t quite sure what to make of it . “ what else are you thinking right now ? ” brows furrow ever so slightly ; she wants to know where will stands on what’s just happened .

“Uh.” Awkward as ever, that probably sounded better in Dexter’s head. Graham’s snippy attitude has him successfully suppressing a rare smile, though. “I didn’t mean– uh. It wasn’t an accusation.” Yeah, it was.
Right, he’s probably just coming off as super weird. “Lounds is a joke,” Dexter clarifies. He’s had the ‘pleasure’ of her interest, too, due to a… admittedly shady past in his hometown of Miami, where he’d left to escape. She’s since suggested he’s the Bay Harbor Butcher… which he is, but as far as anyone besides Dexter knows, Sergeant James Doakes was charged for the murders. Also committed suicide. In truth he was framed and murdered. By Dexter. Yikes.
Anyway, Will Graham’s managed to catch his attention. “Ugliest thing in the world” strikes him as not quite right. Too phoned in, like the sort of thing someone would say because they’re expected to, not because they really feel it. He wants to know more about Will Graham.
“I just… um. She’s hassled me too, so I get it.”

He does not disguise his disdain for the flippancy given the seven-thousand dollar vase’s destruction nor the sheer insult to its ruined beauty, a mildly perturbed nudge of shined leather shoe against the in-tact singular white rose forlorn in the chaos of its former self.
Don’t dwell on it too long, you’ll start getting hungry.
“I want you to ask the vase for its forgiveness.” Vibrant skies so filled with faux sorrow once would have melted this old fool’s resolve if the wound weren’t so f r e s h. He stands stoic among the shards, hands curled loose in the folds of his pockets, lips set in a stern grimace.
