Forgive her? What a laughable notion! Tears freely fell down his cheeks and brushed against her fingers. He made no move to try and wipe them away. His sister was one whom he was never afraid to show vulnerability. That was what siblings were for. He kept his head close to hers, the feeling of comfort and safety he had not had since the loss of Mipha. She always had that motherly demeanour. He held her now seemingly small frame and refused to let go; she would not disappear again.
Sidon wondered if Link knew this was happening, if they had been reunited in the Divine Beast or if they had yet to... He was sure she would want to see Link of course, especially within the Zora Armour she crafted for him. It was a proposal that needed an answer now did it not? He thought that they would make a pair that would rule the Domain in a way which was needed now wthat the one hundred year war was at an end.
“I never doubted him for a moment,” Sidon managed to say as he searched for his voice. “Link is deserving of being Princess Zelda’s knight... As soon as I met him... And now you’re here. You’re really here.” he could not help himself and gave her another nuzzle with his forehead. He still could not believe she was asking forgiveness... She did her duty to her people and the Kingdom of Hyrule. She made him so proud! He wished he could become a leader like her when his time came. Now perhaps... He would have her for advice.
With a careful movement he set his sister down, hesitating on pulling away. He decided to stay knelt down so he could stay close to her. “There is nothing to forgive dear sister... I have felt your love every day of my life! I could feel you with me, and I wish I could have done more to assist Link and save you. In the center of the Domain there is a statue of you now. I would speak to it every day... I hoped that you would hear me. For I love you too! I wished to become how you were, how you are. You’re love and grace... To see it again with my own eyes, I cannot tell you how much it means. I have missed you terribly, there is so much I have to tell you! One hundred years of tales.”
