Gaura's fiery hair :D idk what it is about it, but it's really fun to draw it and usually I have to hold myself back not to go overboard with it lmao
17. what is something you're confident about in your art?
That's a good question, I don't really know, trusting the process is usually the hardest part of art for me. But I suppose I'm most confident about my color usage.
19. where do you find inspiration?
I find it in either the work I make fanart for or during train rides. Seeing nice views while listening to viddy game music tickles my brain in the right way.
In general I'd say probably character-interactions and sleepy cuddles, and bonus points for characters-interacting-via-sleepy-cuddle <3 really any kind of intimacy between characters, romantic or platonic, is so fun to explore through art imo~
Anatomically speaking, though, definitely faces and hair!
13. talk about a wip you like!
Hm! I feel like most of my WIPs I usually talk about already (especially with WIP Wednesday) or live 100% in my head and haven't made it to paper, but in looking through my art folder i was reminded of the third follow-up to my Eamoc the Stag pieces (x, x) ft. Pallegina and Tekehu:
The Eora games have kind of been on the back burner for me for a little while, but once the brainrot (affectionate) kicks back in this is one of the first pieces I'd like to finish <3
24. whats a compliment about your art that has always stuck with you?
Both a friend on BSky and my Painting/Drawing professor (separately) described my art has having a lot of "narrative", and that stuck with me for a good while! It's not something I particularly strive for consciously but the more I thought about it the more I think I started to see what they saw. I've drawn portraits and character refs and studies before of course, but in general I think i like to draw people doing things, or if not doing things then at least having the implication of doing something or something happening, if that makes sense? And that kind of implies a larger world and narrative, I suppose (which i credit to mainly being a fan artist) <3
Answered here, but also (dis)honorable mention from the Mass Effect series, Shepard and Ryder. I've drawn Marco's armor a few times and Vanessa's exactly once and it's never fun lmao
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
Also answered here, but tl;dr, Hands :3
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
A lot of media, actually. There's only a few things that really activate my drawing motivation, for whatever reason, but a few things I love that just do not (or at least rarely) inspire the Art Juices in me:
Pokemon
Unicorn Overlord
Arcane (i know)
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul
The Dragon Prince
Resident Evil
Disney's Princess and the Frog
Also Disney's Mulan
Disco Elysium
and i'm sure more that I can' think of right now lol 😅
Berci got his first tattoo back when he was still studying to become a surgeon (it was the tattoo on his arm but only the upper arm part, he added the rest and had it tattooed on his other arm after he dropped out). The ones on his face were inked on him by a member of the hunting team he was part of (a tiefling who thought it would be funny if he just wrote nose-forehead-chin-etc on his face). In addition to those, Berci also has a squid depicted on his calf and a star chart on his shoulder blade that can be used to locate the most beautiful forest Berci has ever seen.
2, 22 and 25 from the oc ask meme for all of them c:
Yay, thank you 💖
🔥 Gaura 🔥
2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
I’d say most people wouldn’t guess how tender Gaura can be.
22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Hmmm… neutral good probably. Maybe chaotic good. Somewhere between those two.
25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
Her musicality, I conceptualized Gaura as someone who likes to make sense of her feelings through the lens of music so I really enjoy her POV.
I put Berci and Gilvád below the cut :D
🏹 Bertalan 🏹
2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
I imagine that finding out that Bertalan is a former med student and a decent enough surgeon is a bit of shock to people.
22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Neutral good, but he is fully convinced that he is true neutral.
25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
I do enjoy a good edgelord with a heart of gold and a "secret" soft side that is really obvious to everyone, what can I say.
💎 Gilvád 💎
2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
Gilvád is a really quick study, especially when it comes to learning languages.
22.What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Hard to say, I imagine her somewhere between true and chaotic neutral but I feel like she’s a lot nicer when I play her in the game whoops
25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
Gilvád being a dwarf that is connected to the Fade is a concept that tickles my brain a lot. I like pondering how she views spirituality, herself and the Fade as a result.
hmmm how about Berci and Wyll for the alternative LI thing?
Thank you for this, they have an interesting dynamic and this gives me an excuse to rant about them :D
After all, they have a lot in common, but they are at different stages of their lives, so how they approach those similarities as a result makes them very different people.
Wyll is a hero and strives to be a hero so he hunts monsters to protect others. Berci hunts monsters bc some of them just need killing, what people see as his protective side, he considers his pragmatic, survivalist side. Wyll strives to do good in the world, Berci doesn't consider the wider effects of his actions bc nature will always find balance and he's merely a means to achieve that. While Wyll does see some things in a cynical light, he aims to hold on to his ideals, Berci is very jaded. Wyll loves openly and whole-heartedly, Berci is scared of being loved.
So there is some good tension between them, and I do think bc of their dynamic Berci starts seeing himself and what he's doing differently, but as a result he also constantly worries that he may be a bad influence on Wyll and he also really worries that if Wyll continues to live as he does he might end up just as burnt out and nihilistic as Berci is by the events of bee gee three. So I can kind of see them eventually ending up together some time after the game, when Berci has sorted out his attachment issues, but not before that.
which god did your watcher make a deal with? did they keep their end of the bargain?
Answered it here
who are your watcher's least favorite companions?
Durance lol
Okay aside from him being just... Durance, Gaura also couldn't stand how much of an authority he saw himself as about Magran because she talked to him for a while, meanwhile Gaura always felt like she came to understand her the most when she turned away from her. And yet Durance was ready to educate her about her own "mother" and how she loves 🙄 And the "fiery whore" comments pissed her off even though she's not fond of Magran either for obvious reasons.
10. which god did your watcher make a deal with? did they keep their end of the bargain?
Allara ended up making the deal with Berath. She figured they'd probably have the most reasonable take on the matter of the souls since it's in their portfolio, and she was initially glad to have that driving her - though she did feel some guilt over killing the people berath told her to, if nothing else than because they didn't seem to be doing any active harm (or at least none that felt extraordinary compared to what everyone else was doing) and it felt like a personal step back in her 'don't doll out unnecessary punishments' agenda.
Ultimately though, she didn't keep her end of the bargain and instead went with wael's solution of making the fate of the souls unknown. She's not fully sure why she did this, she always had a soft spot for wael and for all her talk about taking charge, the idea of letting this decision be out of everyone's hands was too appealing to her - she was tired and confused and burdened with answers, so letting it be a complete mystery that she could scrub from her mind was a relief (until she started seeing the consequences of her actions and had to work with berath again in deadfire)
