On order and chaos.
A short film by Xiangjun Shi.
First of all, I really like what Shi says in this video, just as general statements about physics and the study thereof.
Second, this might be the first/best/only articulation of the fundamental unsolved problem in physics, of which other unsolved problems are merely branches: Is asymmetry an illusion, or are the natural laws of the universe asymmetrical?
Lord knows I live for those scientific incongruities.
It may sound like something you'd say if you were high, but it's a physicist's holy grail.
Personal Kudo Season continues. I was absolutely tickled by Xiangjun Shi's enjoyable animated short form glimpse into the life of a science student: Why Do I Study Physics? (2013). It has stayed with me. I hope many people take a few minutes to watch this film and share it with friends.
