hi, mel! thank you so much for bringing up the situation. it’s really important to talk about topics like this. as someone who struggled with body image in the past, it really hurts to hear him say something like that. people should normalize criticizing their faves (i’m looking forward for your video!)

ofc!! ive struggled w body image as well, so it was def smth that hit close to home for me and i've had to try to emotionally separate myself from while still criticizing him for it. and i think some idols dont understand the kind of effect their words can have on the people who hear them even if it's not directed at them, and we should def normalize criticizing idols (for valid things, not normal shit like dating lmao) and i expand on it more in the vid
