As someone who’s been intending on doing something similar for quite a few years now, I’m really enjoying your attention to detail while playing. :) Maybe I’ll eventually get around to it too.

I have so many things I want to do with that game + emulating + screencapping, but I never get around to any of them. I started my 'Ivalice Husbands' project - running through the game with Basch and Balthier telling some kind of yaoi story, but I stopped when I realised this needed more than just headcanons as I go along - it needed scripting of sorts.

And then with the enemy screencapping. And city screencapping. And then there was 'Cooking in Ivalice'...

My XII ships

I feel like giving up my pretensions shit for a while and write glorious shipfic. So I made a list of my XII ships (already made a post mentioning some of my NOTPs.)

I prefer Balthier/Fran when Fran denies Balthier what he wants and he is left alone a puddle of youthly, masculine arousal. My favourite fic of them I've written is the one where Fran lets him come on her breasts while she does nothing but watch.

I ship Basch/Ashe, but never happily. They need to waver between something brutal and a deep sense of trust - but they can never have each other.

I don't rarely ship Vaan or Penelo with anyone. I started writing a Vossler/Penelo fic - might finish it one day. Vaan is unshippable for me because he's too young. (Which is kind of the same thing with het!Balthier.)

I ship Basch/Balthier, they're my Ivalice Husbands <3

Ashe/Rasler, but only in an optimistic, cute, squeeish kind of way.

I feel like doing 'XII shipfic bingo' now. I'm just gonna put all of their names in a hat make a tiny program that picks their names randomly and then force myself to write whatever pops up. Haha! Haha. ...I'm scared already.

This doesn't have anything to do with anything. Just made something up in my head. It was fun.

Official translation reads to "alive and well". So consider that when we pick up Ashe from the cell, she's clearly a bit unsteady. The manga suggests Ashe was Vossler's 'mistress'. Shipping fuel: Vossler wants to get Ashe back to Rabanastre because she's clearly not well. Because he cares for her. Aww.

...ohey, turns out you CAN in fact convert .flv to .mp4 with VLC! Orsm, that's two Fran&Balthier Only fights I can edit and post very shortly - one is Rafflesia, the other Daedalus, both done with Decoy/Crit+Berserk. Plus I have a video from one of my recent runs (full party) where I take down Mateus in 10 seconds.
