the funny thing about mengxi / ximeng is that while it’s technically dadson it’s like the tamest, least dadson-esque dadson to ever dadson, because they are not really father and son in any way other than genetics (+ the fact that jx was indeed the one who got xm’s mother pregnant with xm). they lived like… 20+ years of life in two different places far away from each other without meeting, let alone knowing each other was related to them in any way. they just straight up do not have a father-son bond in any shape or form. after finding out the secret truth at last, they now have an awkward relationship that still doesn’t resemble anything even remotely like a normal parent-child relationship.

As a Jiang Xi stan I am really winning today. As a Jiang Xi multishipper I’m always winning. I just want Jiang Xi or his expy in the modern AU to be Railed Hard By Hot Younger Gong. That’s all I want for him.

What we do know is that there’s some age shenanigan going on. The gong is supposedly 17 on his hukou, but there’s a reason she wrote that huh... bet he’s a couple years older. I think the Meijiang age gap is about 17-18 years if this is really basing off of Meijiang. I hope there will be actual scalpels involved given the shou is a neurosurgeon. I hope there are heartbreaks and near deaths or actual deaths. And the divorced shou might have... a son :)))) and what if the gong has a twin :)))) meijiang + meimeng messy family dynamic is one of my favorite things.

Unbearably over-sentimental writing with the oddest random landmines, breaking all suspension of disbelief while being so sickening that it makes you vomit blood. Worst of all is the incomprehensible mess of a supposed "medical setting". -OR- An AU based on SVSSS, where Jiang Xi transmigrates into 'Pear Blossoms Bloom', a romance webnovel that he despises, as Jiang Yechen, a beautiful, cold, wealthy doctor who is also the creepy, antagonistic "love rival" of the male protagonist, Xue Meng.

i went from ‘oh yeah love me dead does kinda work as a lawlight song’ to ‘actually wait yeah it kinda fits yagamane even more when you interpret the lyrics in a second way, i see it’ in like a month, but what really surprised me is that today, many months after i began to listen to this song thinking of dn and yagamane, it suddenly struck me that wait. wait a second. if you interpret the song in yet another very different way then ‘love me dead’ actually works pretty well as a ximeng song too. oh what the hell
