also aah I could probably go on about it for ages, but I feel kinda shitty taking the attention away from the more important things people are getting form it? Like I read some pretty great responses to the Fury Road and then at the end there’s points about how it specifically relates US issues, about the lack of references to contemporary technology or some other things and I get idk. A bit antsy?
I can’t even be annoyed because it’s all about what people personally are taking away from it but the franchise has always been so important to Australia? And even though it’s not filmed here anymore, it’s still specifically stage here (to the point that you know Fury Road is taking place in the same area as previous MM (Mid North Eastern - North Eastern Aust) because Citadel are getting their water from the Great Artesian Basin).
AND THEN there’s stuff in the film itself but idk I need to watch it again to talk about that properly.
BUT YEAH.
Also. other things (the slang, using imperial measurements, ect) are weird when reading fan created content. BUT again, all up to how people are interpreting things when it comes to fan made stuff.
