Walking continues in this Japanese-inspired Monster Village! I originally planned to go back here tomorrow morning but since I still have time before the last bus to Jiji, I explored the village. Back in Taiwan, yay! Took an afternoon train right after I landed yesterday to continue my CNY holiday 😂 So lucky to have a perfect weather to walk in Xitou Forest 😍 The area is pretty big, took me 4hrs to finish 10km of its trails. Here is my trail: Entrance > University Pond > Skywalk > Giant Tree > Giant Tree Trail to Exit. This is a Jiji-Xitou trip so my route is a little different. To get here: Take TRA (521) from Taipei to Ershui, then transfer to local train to Jiji Station. I spent the night in Jiji because it's cheaper than the hotels in Xitou. In the morning I took bus 6801 from Jiji to Xitou.
