Xivix have abandoned their homeworld and their civilization billions of years ago, having achieved the ability to exist and travel freely in the vacuum of space naturally. Xivix travel at the speed of light, which completely arrests their aging procress. Xivix stopped reproducing their numbers about 6 billion years ago. Xivix sense the entire electromagnetic spectrum with their powerful minds. Xivix believe in a universe of infinite variety in infinite combination. They also believe each has a single soulmate, somewhere in the universe: an identical twin made entirely of anti-matter. As the saying goes, if you travel far enough, you eventually meet yourself. A single Xivix may travel hundreds of millions or even billions of light years in such a quest. When a paired Xivix and Anti-Xivix meet in space, a long psychic courtship begins. Careful not to touch each other, the two aliens exchange the whole of their knowledge and experience in a psionic dialogue that may last thousands of years. When both Xivix and Anti-Xivix are satisfied they know their mate completely, they exchange a single act of affection for one another. Very slowly, in a gentle, mirrored gesture, the twins raise their hands and touch fingers. When the matter and anti-matter come into contact, the two creatures annhiliate each other, allowing them finally to die together and rest in peace.
