At the Lockers
Mona putters around in her locker waiting for her next class to start. She is beginning to regret getting here so early, even if it was for a very important reason. She grabs a few of her old notebooks that were left inside from last Spring and tosses them in the nearby trash. She saved up enough allowance money to spring for a new iPad, which was perfect since she can type five times faster than she can scribble with a pen.
The petite girl begins to worry a little that Hanna hasn't shown up yet. It's not that her being late for class is anything new. It's just that she told her she'd be there early so they could chat before class, and that she hasn't answered any of her texts. She flashes her eyes at the pic from the day they went to beach the end of last semester. Hanna was flirting with cute boys and Mona was enjoying the view, so to speak. She wanted to drive Hanna to school with her shiny new drivers' license, but Hanna said that her Mom was taking her and, she didn't want to make a big deal about it.
She glances down at her phone and doesn't see any replies from the blonde since she last checked a minute ago. She sighs and texts her again. Just as she presses "send", Mona catches sight of Hanna coming down the hall in front of her. "It's about time," Mona chides, smirking with a wry grin.
