So terrible news for us, we've basically been humiliated in front of the whole world

Our "dear" president, Prabowo, decided it's best to sign a contract with Trump stipulating that America will have 0% tariff but we have a 19% tariff to them. Furthermore, we have to purchase 4 million dollars worth of agriculture stuff, including meat. Even though it's not halal.

And let me just say, I'm not Muslim but wtf

A majority of our population is Muslim. And you're telling me he wants to bring in non halal meat to Indonesia?? Seriously??

He also asked to see Trump's son. I don't remember which one (I think it's Don jr.?) but this man seriously called a grown ass man a "good kid"....

I worry that in the future, people from other countries will dehumanize and humiliate us, spouting racist remarks about how we're "lap dogs" or something worse. Sure it's only one or two people now but watch it spread to the next generation like wild fire.

And if anyone asks why Prabowo is even our president in the first place, it's because our previous president, Jokowi, supported him. He had a lot of followers right off the bat and his corruption only started towards the end of his reign so there really isn't any time for us to start a controversy against him

His son, Gibran, is literally Prabowo's vice president, mostly because the other two parties that supports Anies and Ganjar won't accept him as a vice president. If we are to follow the Indonesian laws for presidency prior to Jokowi's corruption, Gibran would be too young to even apply to be vice president

This led to a lot of people questioning him and going against Jokowi but a majority of his followers still followed his words and chose Prabowo anyways, ignoring the war crimes he committed in the New Order era.

The rich also have a habit of paying the poor to vote for the person they support, completely ignoring what we learned in civic educations class

Now do I think Prabowo will have a second term? Yes and here's why

He has this program called MBG (makan bergizi gratis) which is basically where he gives nutritious foods to schools in the poor side of Indonesia for free. There have been cases where the food was raw and expired, but for the most part they're beneficial for the less fortunate families. This wins their heartstrings, and by extension, their vote

Unfortunately, those hailing from villages mostly have a rather closed minded way of thinking: racist towards Chinese people, nationalism, prioritizing themselves, etc. So when some rich man extends a half assed solution to their problem? He suddenly becomes their god and they support him aggressively

Of course, there are those with a level head and aren't like that. I've spent a week living with one of these people and they're genuinely nice people. Them and their whole village

Anyways, that's all for today's update! <3 (if I keep going I might even start going on a tangent of how terrible our national exam is because oh god our scores are terrible)

I really hope sharing this could lead to people not dehumanizing you guys. Governments are really just doing every messed up thing these years and its not even getting better😭 its mostly getting worse. Why you bringing people who have nothing to do with this into it seriously. I like to think the reason cahaya and daun will fall victim into this is because of a few reasons. Cahaya's power is extremely strong, sure later down the line he starts using it for illusions by manipulating the light particles or use it for stelth/teleportation. But since light is (arguably) the strongest element, it has the highest consequences

Cahaya is fully aware of whats happening, and in stead of going full self sacrificial, he tries to stop it but by HIMSELF. He covers any cracks on his hands/arms by layer of clothing or gloves

Daun on the otherhand, he is fully unaware at first, because his element is much more subtle. Similar to hanahaki, plants starts to grow and bloom in his organs, due to this he doesn't even know until he starts coughing up leaves

but its determined on how harmful the element is itself, man overheat trio is gonna have a lil problem

i like to think that for the other siblings, the forming doesnt happen immediately, it only starts at bbb movie 1 since the watch wasnt suitable to handle the second tiers making the forming start slowly since the watch reset, they only find out its overtaking when Petir got a lot of glowing lightning scars after his forced Hali transformation

actually they couldve started when Api and Air came in the power mixture since their elements were pushing more than what tier 1 should fully push once it comes out

and it fully starts being acknowledged at the movie but dismissed since its little and they dont push their elements afterwards for years

Cahaya's was probably what made them notice, and the cracks started with his eyes instead since those were what he used with that large solar blast

There were! but not suspicious as in they think he's a human

that comcept doesnt exist to them but they do belive he's something more

semiu and corvus at most are the only ones suspicious of him

semiu deducts what she saw was similar to that of a trash beast, with imbued anima but something of its own, or in this case, his own

corvus probably guesses it's an alive instrument of some sort, but not a shapeshifter(this may change since we dont know much about corvus in general)

everyone mostly sees him as a regular object but obviously treats him as a person as they do with every instrument (like put them with pronouns and be careful with them and such)
