A huff of warm air buffeted Steve from where Bucky curled around him. Steve'd like to think the dragon looked contrite, but he knew his mate better than that. He crossed his arms and tried very hard to project displeasure rather than amused fondness.
"Bucky, we were supposed to show up with pizza, not charred remains!"
Another huff and Bucky lowered his head to peer up at Steve, for all the world the picture of sheepish remorse - but there was a playful twinkle in his eye and Steve couldn't help but laugh.
"... well, I guess now we know your take on the whole pineapple-on-pizza debate."
