23. My muse has lied about their feelings for your muse

Allison had to admit, talking to Sirius about the feelings she may have for him was more nerve wracking than even the idea of dueling for her life. At least in that sort of situation she would feel more in control of herself. She’d already basically lied to him about it twice now, afraid that it would make things weird between them. That Sirius wouldn’t like her back and would push her away because of it.  But she wasn’t a Gryffindor for nothing, and she couldn’t let her fears affect her life anymore. She’d just have to convince Sirius that things could stay normal between them, if (when) he told her he didn’t like her back.

“So.. I might like you a little more than I’d admitted to..”

Once Upon A Dream || Sirius + Lily AU

The manor was massive, the sort of place Lily would have never been allowed. But, dressed in an elegant maroon ball gown, a feathered gold mask hiding her features, she fit in perfectly. Excitement shined in emerald orbs as she removed the shawl from delicate shoulders, giving it to one of the servants. Granted, normally, she would have given anything to be one of the servants. But, not tonight. 

She watched the party goers dance, a smile on red lips, as she moved to the refreshments table.

This is my flat || Sirius + Lily

There were things Lily Evans was accustomed to when she woke up, a morning routine so to speak. For example, she stretched out for a good ten minutes before she actually woke up. She threw on some shorts and went to the bathroom, leaving the button up she generally kept by her bed unbuttoned. She turned on a coffee pot, and fed her cats (of which there were three: Iris, Daisy, and Florian) and then peaked out quickly to grab her paper, hoping to god the man next door wasn't awake at this ungodly hour. 

What she was not accustomed to was the half naked man on her sofa, with Florian sitting on top of him. Green eyes widened, and she screamed, not really screamed, but shrieked. forgetting for a moment her undone top and her coffee.

Closed || Sirius + Lily AU

"Shut up!" She doesn't shout, not normally. Normally, she's ice and fire mixed into one and normally, when she's angry, she just goes quiet, contrary to popular belief. But then, she doesn't know what's normal anymore; nothing is how it should be. Her parents are gone, she's alone, the war is on their doorsteps now and she can't fucking breathe, the walls closing in on her, squeezing til she explodes. And explodes she does, shouting the words, voice hoarse. She hasn't talked in days.

"Shut up, you stupid arse!" He didn't know anything, but, neither does she. Marlene says she's been acting strange, but Lily doesn't even know what's normal anymore, so how can she attest to that? Maybe she has been acting strange. She hasn't even been paying attention to anything but the fact that her parents were dead and her sister d i s o w n e d her. Her parents are dead because of her. She as good as killed them.  

She was one for hexing, she was one for proving that she was better at magic than them, those who said she didn't deserve it. Those who called her a m u d b l o o d. She never got physical; she knew too many jinxes to ever need to.

And yet, this time, it wasn't a hex she threw, but a punch, directly to his nose, just like Dorcas and her father had taught her, fist held tightly.

And Merlin, it hurt, knuckles cracked and covered in blood, both hers and his. Merlin, it hurt so badly, the pain of it all, but it felt so good  and her adrenaline was pumping through her veins. It hurt, but it made her feel alive. It hurt but she could breathe.

"You should do as you're told, Black."

Borrowed Attire

➵     He’d looked around the entirety of Number 4 in hopes of finding his favorite jacket. Well, either of them honestly. The first one turned out to have been in Harry’s room, half under his godson’s pillow and therefore not in a state to be removed. He hadn’t a clue why Harry had adopted the thing but e wasn’t keen to take it from him without knowing if it was particularly important to him to have it. Still, that didn’t explain the fact that his second, much newer bit of leather was missing as well. It wasn’t until he gave up hunting for it to search out breakfast instead that he spotted it… on the back of a decidedly pink haired young woman at the table. He announced his presence with a sigh of displeasure and raised an eyebrow at the woman. “ Tonks… You are aware that jacket does not, in fact, belong to Remus, ey? ”

For a couple of seconds, all she could do was blink while looking at her cousin. Tonks had in fact found the jacket lying on one of the many threadbare sofas at the Grimmauld Place. If she had analysed it, she would have realised that a man as neat and organised as Remus Lupin would not have left his clothes around the house, but it was a brilliant jacket and she would have an excuse to wear it for a little while.

"Oh …" Dora murmured at last, her eyes falling down from Sirius to his jacket. "Sorry … I found it in the library so I reckoned that maybe … but it’s too cool to be his anyway," she chuckled taking it off and handing the jacket back to her cousin. "Still from the seventies, is it? Doesn't seem like the kind of clothes you find nowadays."
