Taeho widened his eyes as he realized he should had waited and resist temptation that the chocolates brought along and pouted in sight of Dal with a mouth surrounded by chocolate and crumbs as the evidence of his crime, but knowing he had still a really good amount of them left after the rendezvous Halloween adventure from store to store, seeing he didn’t had courage either to approach people and ask them for sweets, neither to open the door to strangers, he smiled and extended a sweet he was guessing his friend could like.

This would be yet another year where Taeho had hoped he’d be able to go trick or treat or at least join in the fun and give some to people ringing in, instead of having the lights out, to signal that that wasn’t a house to ring, but as in other years, he had Dal’s company for certain, along any good movies they could pick from a list -- Most probably not horror themed either as Taeho didn’t had the courage for those either, but it either way was still fun and a meaningful habit they managed to create.

He could not talk ​so easily at times when meeting people face to face and definitely could be awkward there and have some difficulty too to take in what he was told if people didn’t gave him time to try to understand what was being said, but that didn’t meant he wasn’t communicative either!

Taeho did like to join in writing forums or other communities for writers, to polish his skills with the help of others, by sharing some of his personal pieces of poetry, he was entertained by seeing other people’s writings and overall was a reader, so besides liking books, he got to read fiction from new promising authors at his own timing and say to them in the comments or their own page how they had liked it.

This time around, he was excited, reading a new novel he just found around the site and once finding the courage to, around by the forth chapter and finding already so many surprising twists in the story, he clicked his way around to the author’s page and left her a private message, wanting to show his support:

Oh wow! I am loving your story! Only finished now the forth chapter and I am pretty sure I won’t be able to hold myself in and read more soon enough. What will happen to Mathilda? Will Marcus be able to reveal his truth without issues? In the start of the story, I wondered what was off about him, but having that insight with a new character and getting to know that he might be a vampire is surprising and it all due to that new hunter coming to town to catch someone and keeping Marcus under his eye! It’s as if you really can relate to Marcus and see things from a vampire perspective and the way you make him sound so wise and from really old ages -- Just wow. I wish I could immerse myself to a point this deep with my own poems! Saying this, don’t also feel rushed to update, I just really felt like showing my appreciation and love for you as the writer and the story you so generously put in the world and this site for everyone to read.

Taeho pouted as he sent the person he has been talking to over at least almost a year a message, so they would know what he discovered and although he had a feeling he knew what could be happening, he also still gave the latter the reason of a doubt. Seeing that they could had their pictures taken from another person or maybe something else could had happened.

The male waited for a reply as he held to his phone and was afraid to read or hear whatever could come by from the other side of the line. He had suggested in the past that they could had face-timed or just called one another when finding themselves too busy to type over replies, because he felt like after a while he was trusting enough of the other to give that step with them, despite his issues, but the other always refused, which he respected nonetheless and could understand, but he never denied that it sounded a bit fishy after a while and now the more as he found the same pictures he was sent in the possession of someone else and with another name.

So, I noticed you had a kitty and lost it...

Taeho smacked his lips as revealed the scribbled words with a dark blue marker on one of the notebooks he had laying around to be able to communicate with people. 

I think I found your kitty and have them at home now. 

The male added with a smile once flipping the page to write something new and then did one last flip to tell the neighbor that they could come at any time they wanted to get their beloved pet back. The male had waved to his neighbor countless times by now, listened to their music once in a while when the other would put a few tunes loud enough for him to catch them and they surely also heard them listening to music or working on his own, but never did he ever had the chance, neither the courage to speak to them directly.

He had a hard time speaking in public when it came to people he didn’t knew of, but did knock on the neighbor’s door on two different occasions to give them back their pet when he found the feline on the streets by itself when Taeho was on his way back from a reunion with his advocate. Yet, as they didn’t open the door at those times, but now seemed to be at home and near the window, he gave it another shot. After knocking on his window and scribbling the notes for them to read, he gently took a hold of the feline to show the pet to them in his arms and smiled.  

The male felt nervous to finally get to know the neighbor personally and still would need his notebook to communicate, but was confident that he would be safe and possibly having a newfound friend in them soon, after all, they did communicate through the window before, even if not using any words until now.

When managing to wake up from his sudden slumber than he didn’t managed to stop himself from falling into, Taeho heard what the latter had to say to him and in response he could only smile and giggle slightly the same time he nodded, before he actually gathered his things and left the bus. He remembered his heart pounding in his chest due to the surprise he felt when first realizing that he was still on the bus and that he lost consciousness, his body stiffened when having someone else so close to him speaking to him in a rush, which took him sometime to concentrate and to do his best to not feel overwhelmed by the whole situation, since the last thing he would want was to cry on a bus -- Despite it barely having anyone in and finally, on the next day, once he recognize the person that helped him to reach his destination right on time, no matter how scared if first found himself, he took the initiative to seat by their side and got his notepad out the backpack he carried around, to scribble a note to the other, seeing he wasn’t able to speak to people right out the bat without trusting and knowing them well first.

Thank you again for yesterday. You really helped me there!

He again smiled shyly to the latter as he showed them what he wrote and glanced down at his notepad after glancing at the person for a few seconds, afraid to be judged and also because his body simply was reactive. He wasn’t really the type to hate hugs or to crave for hugs, but was a between weird mix, where he could be clingy when getting to know people well, but until then he would rather keep it to himself. Things could be at times a bit complicated, but no doubt Taeho tried always his best to manage his issues.

Please explain to me why I should even bother to listen to you and possibly get hurt again?

Taeho held up his device with his scribbled out words as his mouth formed a thin lined pout and his eyes looked away from the person that used to be his significant other, that until they decided that leaving him for someone they had met only for a few months had been a good idea, or at least that is what he gathered from their situation. But now it shouldn’t’ even matter, neither did he thought it was a good idea to even type out his thoughts when he knew that he was beyond the stage of discomfort with them to the point he needed to hold his walls up high again and keep his voice and eyes out of reach, which was something he did when first getting to know someone. Even when he felt tensed and stiff, he wanted and thought he deserve some closure, an explanation and his stupid heart still did had feelings for the other, so instead of closing his door again or avoiding to attend to it, he was there, waiting for them to talk.
