Xtal - aphex twin from his first full album. some of these songs were made when he was apparantely 14. this man owns a tank, is incredibly secretive, and lies a lot. one of the best electronic musicians of all time. and i want you to remember that he made this was no gui. it was drum machines and synths onto tape. insane stuff.

john darnielle worked as a kind of social worker in a childrens psych ward. he saw people like this every day. this was about one of his friends who woke up hundreds of miles from home in one of those places.

i have no idea what a gui is but i assume it's very impressive to make a song this good without one. oh my stars. and the second one- loved it! i love songs that are stories :))
