.... It looked.. nicely packed, at least. On some level. Maybe.
Well, maybe very nicely packed. Where did that guy get a Croagunk bento box? Either way he was keeping it.
Saturn squinted down at the lunch in front of his desk. He never really sat at his desk much and in order to do so now, the commander had to clear off months of old work catching dust, but there was no way that he was going to let healthy food get on his couch or game controller.
It was clear enough since receiving the note from Master Cyrus that Saturn had to eat whatever would be in this box. It could be b... b... broccoli and he'd still have to eat it. Or at the very least throw it away in secret. That wouldn't be all to easy though since 'his Eve', E-17, was standing off to the side and watching. Not to mention the security cameras... shit. This was all that guy's fault.
Nosy good-for-nothing grunt.
Ever since he was a child, he'd hated being told what to do. His household was very niche and particular about how they did things, which clashed with Saturn's difficulties with empathy as well as his rebellious and selfish tendencies. He ended up becoming a shut-in inside his own house, seeking power in video games and gained the bad habit of being contrary about almost any situation to assert individuality. Food was no different, so he was prepared to shut E-17 down swiftly.
He leans in with caution, slowly pulling off the lid as he does. As a smell begins to waft out through the opening, he holds his breath and opens it fully, putting both tiers of the box in front of himself. With his cheeks puffed out slightly, holding air, Saturn starts to investigate.
Immediately, he notes the packaged brownies. Then, the rice balls. Those weren't so bad... the rice usually blocked out any icky taste of the filling. There was also pork buns (Good), sushi (Shrimp tempura? Fantastic), fruit (So-So but sweet which was what mattered)-- Were some of those strawberries dipped in chocolate?
Having forgotten to breathe, Saturn had gone a little blue in the face and blinked his eyes rapidly before inhaling extra deep. And the smell? It.. wasn't as bad as he'd expected. He glances suspiciously at the grunt before picking up one of the pork buns and nibbling on it. There was no need to let on that he was eager.
"......... It's decent. You might just pass the first lunch box assignment." He turns his head away and stuffs the rest of the bun into his mouth, attempting to eat it in one bite without the other seeing. Unfortunately, he couldn't chew it as quickly as he'd hoped. In an attempt for cover, he picks up one of the rice balls and pretends to observe it.
