The shipping potential in this drama is through the roof, can't make up my mind on which dynamic to support so I'm just supporting all of them haha.

Finished Episode 7 of "The Vendetta of An" and I really just want to give Huai'an a big hug. I am in love with the brooding, snowing scenes as well as the fact they REALLY lay the gore on thick. You guys have no idea how much I cheered when Bai Wan actually volunteered to staunch the bleeding like, queen. Own that shit.
I don't think I have anything to nitpick at so far, it's a simple yet emotionally engaging story for me thus far.
Side note, Wen Jing I know you're sorry but my boy, our resident psychopath put you through the horrors. And you're really relying on him to protect you?? >v<
The way Wen Jing leapt at Huai'an when they reunited in Episode 15 🥺 Baby's eyes lit up!
Okay so I did watch up to where... my poor general Gu Yu died. The absolute devastation in Huai'an's eyes UGH, he looked so feral. Unleash the beast.

This show is honestly refreshing in the sense that the screenwriters really don't give their characters plot armour. I forgot to mention this but Gu Yu in the Hidden Soldier Alley fight was so HOT??
I'm so glad I'm watching "When Destiny Brings the Demon" at the same time so the angst doesn't eat me up alive. They finally kissed!! Oh my god I squealed, my babies they're so adorable.
I think the screenwriters of this show have a vendetta against fathers. Currently on Episode 11 and I think we've had three dead fathers now? Huai'an's father, Zhang Mo, Wang Xing. Did I miss out any..
Cheng Yi should 100% play more of these roles, he's really expressive with his face and his eyes. I personally felt that "The Journey of Legend" and "Sword and Beloved" somewhat fell flat on the emotional aspect. "The Vendetta of An" has me HOOKED.
Just finished Episode 1 of "The Vendetta of An", story's a bit slow but I'm enjoying this psychopathic somber man already. Kill them all king!!
