5 new year bujo reset ideas
1. a Life Map
as i mentioned in an earlier post, a life map is a visual representation of your life. it can be a spider map (like mine) that lays out all aspects of your life and breaks them down to more specific categories so you'll know the things you have to work on. it can also be an actual map portraying where you want your life to go, with specific timelines or milestones, so you have clearly set goals. it depends on what you want/need/suits you best.
2. Year's Philosophy
think of it as a dedication page. this is good for people who get lost/overwhelmed a lot. you could decide on a thing or person or idea or one end goal to be your inspiration/motivation for all of your plans this year. when you get confused with all the things you have and want to do, you can flip back to the page and reset your mindset.
3. Current Me vs Future Me
i got this idea from Lavendaire. basically, you draw yourself as you are at the moment, jot down your traits, habits, interests, and mindset. then, you'll do the same for a future version of yourself. this is handy for goal-setting. this is how Lavendaire originally did it: (x). i personally divided my life into categories like this:
4. Resolutions with Conditions
to keep yourself accountable when changing/forming habits this year, you can bargain with yourself. what i did was jot down my resolutions, then listed rewards (like 'buy one thing from your wishlist' or 'visit a fancy café') and 'punishments' (like 'no Youtube for a month' or 'cancel a date with bf') for myself. the trick is to hold off the rewards and actually enforce the punishments, though.
5. Year-Long Projects
it's sort of like a bucket list for the year, but with, well, projects. or basically any task that takes a bit more planning than usual. think of it as a future log for tasks with more than one step. instead of just assigning them to months, though, try to assign actual deadlines for yourself.
i know these won't work on everybody, but they've helped me immensely. they might be worth a shot!
