"Well, I uhh... I don't really remember... It just kind of shows up sometimes and I don't really remember much else."

⚡ zip zap! now in fullbody!
Xurkit, you should go out and see the storm. Thunderstorms are beautiful
"Okay! I'm going! Just a couple minutes, though, to be safe."
You're even already in the doorway, staring out the door to your hive. It's absolutely pouring out, and thunder rumbles as you hesitate for a moment, much louder now that the door's open.
You barely make it five steps out of the door before you're struck. You go stiff, not expecting the sudden electrical overload. It's a lot more than you ever handle from work, though, oops-- a bit of a miscalculation on your part.
You black out for just a split second.
When you come back, the first thing you realize is pain. The mask sitting on your face is almost suffocating. Your throat feels raw. There's an awful ache in your chest, especially by your shoulders, that's consuming your thoughts. Every time you move your arms the ache in your shoulders flares up and subsides again if you stay still.
The first thing you do is try to gasp for breath, but the almost gelatinous material your mask is made of gets caught in your mouth, making you cough and try to spit it out instead.
You grab at it, trying to get it off, get just one breath of fresh air, but your messed up wire hands really just aren't fit for the task. It takes agonizingly long to finally dig your wireframe fingertips into the mask and practically rip it off, pulling it away in gooey threads as if it was made of slime.
You gasp for breath, drenched in rain. You're so cold.
You hate waking up.
Xurk!!! I heard rumor that YOU have a matesprit!!!
"You lost me at 'heard rumor.' Yeah, definitely, someone's talking about me good or bad."
You conveniently ignore the second part.
"... Are we done? Can I go back to sleep now?"
"I'm gonna go back to sleep now."
You head back inside to dry off and reset your breakers, letting your mask reform over your face. Once you're no longer shivering from sitting out in the rain like a dumbass, you wrap up in one of your awful rubbery shock protector blankets and reach to reset the switches inside your mid-back to put yourself back to sleep.
Like when the lightning strike overloaded your system, you black out for just a split second. When you come back, the pain is gone, but so are the recollections of the last couple hours as well. You're just kind of confused.
"Wh.. where-- was I just... How did I get here...?"
Yeah. You're very confused. All systems online, that's for sure.
...
You hear a loud thundercrack. It must be storming-- how delightful!
🔒 and for Xurkit too!
🔒 What’s one thing about your muse that you still can’t figure out?
Its blood hue lowkey,
I CAN'T DECIDE !!!
