Though I am new to the world of marketing, I’m not new to the world of writing. I’ve always loved researching and learning new things. As Content Manager for Xurli, I’m learning new things every single day and this world is amazing to me!
I wasn’t born in Generation X, but I’ve always mostly identified with them and know what the world was like before the Internet. I know what it’s like to research in encyclopedias and to search through the Dewey Decimal System to find what I need for what I’m writing.
Transversely, having been born in Generation Y, I was introduced to technology when I was an adolescent. Learning to search the Internet was very similar to crawling through the stacks in the library.
To be completely honest, I miss what research used to be. However, I can admit that it is so much easier to type in a word on Google and have all of the information I need in front of me. I still have to search to really learn what I need to know, but learning isn’t supposed to be easy.
