“I have no intention of making peace with you.” He says, but takes the bottle to refill the other’s glass; rather a generous amount of the quality of the brand. “I just want someone to drink with.”

He puts the bottle down on the table as he takes a seat. He’s tired and it’s written on his features, he doesn’t bother to hide it. Regardless of their differences, there’s a shared understanding between them - they both know what it is to be exhausted. 

He studies his own glass for a moment before finishing it off quickly. Sometimes he regrets the tolerance he built up in his younger years.
