      jaw clenches, brows knitting together as she takes a step towards the smaller of the two women. how could mya not trust her? time and time again, allison has put mya’s safety and well-being above the rest of their group and has even gone as far as DYING for her before the cycle reset itself.

      she settles her hands on the other’s shoulders, genuine sadness etched into her features as her shoulders slouch. for the first time, it is clear that she felt something in regards to their fallen colleague. ‘ i chose you over him, and if i had to i would do it again. i’m not sorry for saving you instead. but i am sorry that he went the way he did. ’

      It must be something in the way her shoulders slump that brings the other’s attention on her once again, and the soft, gentle curve of her lips in a frown that has that hand settling on her shoulder. She is usually stronger than this, never letting more that what needs to be shared slip past her walls--- - Allison is stone-faced and strong-willed and does not crack so easily. But this, it seems, has worn her down to the point past exhaustion. No, it has pushed her to the very verge of her sanity and for once she is unsure of why she should keep fighting. Perhaps, she thinks, this ‘Shadow Man’ is right; there is no point to it, it is futile, it is nothing more than a hopeless effort and sheer defiance that keeps them fighting & living. And so when that hand settles on her shoulder she turns away, face tilted away from Mya. This is the last thing the girl needed to see.
