I guess I should actually give me thoughts about it instead of random comments.
Really solid and enjoyable match, some aspects of it I even liked better then Korrina, so you can put around the second Gym battle so far in the anime. Right off the bat I liked how MOST (like 85%) of the battle was devoted to the actual Gym Battle, you had some nice set up but it didnt take up almost half the episode like Grant's did, and no TR at all is a HUUUUUGE plus. Every Pokemon (except Jumpluff, rip) got time to shine really well and as usual the battles themselves were well animated.
Also I don't know if this was intentional or not but I like how Ramos took advantage of Ash's habits of trying to brute force his way through the match, something that worked with Korrina but not what Ramos (which is good, I like when Gym leaders are established to have unique battle styles other then the standard stuff) and so Ash had to change his perspective and take Ramos's advice to overcome him, that was good. Im glad Froagider finally got to star in a Gym because hoenstly it was a long time comming (should've happened with Grant but I digress) and he performed wonderfully a real badass imo.....I wish I could same for Hawlucha but he had to be the fall guy ;_:, oh I hope this isnt a sign of bad things to come since he deserves more wins.
As for other stuff, I liked how Serena is having nightmares about her upcomming performance. Is this a sign of things to come? A major loss perhaps? I really hope it is.
My only real gripe was that im kinda bothered that Ash didnt mention that he'd finally have his match with Clemont, like at all. Instead hyping up Serena's stuff, I don't know why since you probably could've done both just fine, just a small acknowledgement woudl've been good.
