So I saw a post on here that was saying people use ts being rich and white as an excuse to be misogynistic and homophobic... like girl it's not really possible to be homophobic to an artist that's extremely heterosexual. she has never claimed any queer identity only queer money when pride rolls around and it's time for her to re-promote Rainbow Capitalism™️ the song, plus I'm convinced the only reason she's never point blank told those gaylor people to stop is because it drives sales. secondly, being critical of someone's upbringing in wealth and criticism of how nobody can ethically become a billionaire is not misogynistic. even someone saying her music sucks isn't misogyny because it's not about her identity as a cis woman, it's about her art. the mental gymnastics these people do to find ways to permanently make her the victim no matter the subject should be studied by psychologists because someone cannot be both the pinnacle of rich white woman privilege and some oppressed underdog simultaneously. (Also gross was the op of the post I saw connecting ts to barbie by saying barbie said "as a woman you don't have to be extraordinary to earn respect". true objectively but irrelevant of the criticism ts gets. Nobody is saying she can't make the most mid as fuck pop music to exist, clearly she's the most celebrated mediocre woman of our time, but being a woman doesn't inherently make anyone beyond criticism or beyond accountability like that is so not what the barbie movie was saying 💀)
"she has never claimed any queer identity only queer money when pride rolls around"
LITERALLY ALL OF THIS
