To Axl, how were things between you and X after X7 Sigma?
Oh Sigma? Heh he hasn’t returned since the Eurasia incident- or so X tells me- so I never got to experience what he was like personally like X and Zero did. Much like Redips.
Although, lemme tell you a lil story- okay?
I went to the Maverick Hunters at this terrible time, X and Zero were going through way too many Mavericks to mow over, it put pressure on both of them for different reasons.
I’ve heard rumors I went to join the Maverick Hunters because they were better than Red Alert. Well- in my mind I thought they were at the time. But there was a more urgent reason why I came to them
I needed help. My buddies, including Red, were looking pale, desaturated... dead
They didn’t speak and they were acting weird, and when they revealed to be horrific monsters that looked like eldritch horror beasts, I fled.
I was hoping X and Zero might help me, since they were my heroes. But- they were having a difficult time. They gave each other the silent treatment, the aftermath of a huge fight after I arrived. They had a lover’s quarrel. Literally.
So- I had enough after about a month and tried to convince them, one at a time, that things will be okay because they had each other. And others really looked up to them, like their unit and myself.
Things were okay after that and X took a better liking to me, since he was quiet, didn’t say anything. Zero was also quiet and a bit passive aggressive. They were both upset, I could tell. X was obvious, but Zero? He just wasn’t showing it much.
That make up session between them, though? Let me tell you- it was one of the most satisfying things to witness. They shared a sweet make up kiss and their love glowed like I haven’t seen since I got there.
